Itās not hoarding if itās books
books make it a library
ādonāt judge a book by itās coverā is a beautiful powerful sentiment that i fully ignore when book shopping

A book must be the axe for the frozen sea within us. ā Franz Kafka
So Iām working on a long, arduous project of collecting book blog URLs for this page right here. (Theyāre not all linked up yet, but Iām working on it; thatās the arduous part.)
If you run a blog thatās 75%+ about books and would like to be added, let me know in the way you most prefer (reblog and say so, reply to this post, send me an ask or an IM).
If you see your blog on the page and would like to be removed, also let me know.
If you can confirm if any of the listed blogs in the top half have 5000+ followers, let me know so I can move them to the correct section.
If you know of anyone else you want me to add, tag them so I can see them!
Please reblog this post regardless of whether you want added or not so other book blogs can see and choose whether or not to participate!
I'd love to be added!
āPeople may think as they like about well-thumbed favouritesā, thought Paul, ābut there is something incomparably thrilling in first opening a brand-new book.ā (Decline and Fall by Evelyn Waugh)
I was reading this book one day (and laughing my ass off while doing so), and coincidentally, my older sister who frequently shops at the The Book DepositoryĀ informed me that they had a bookmarks competitionĀ this year; and I just knew that this quote would make a perfect bookmark!Ā Luckily, The Book Depository and 3,000+ people on Facebook think so too, and it is now one of the winning entries of the contest! This was really fun to make. :)Ā

I just finished the Kiss of Deception last night, and whoa. It was fantastic. The Kiss of Deception follows Lia, princess of Morrighan, as she flees on her wedding day to a small village in search of a new life for herself, one that doesnāt require she marry a prince sheās never met. As she settles into her new life, she meets two men, Rafe and Kaden. Little does she know one is an assassin sent to kill her, and the other is the very prince she fled from.
I loved this book. The world was wonderfully complex and original. The use of mythology kept me intrigued, even in the slower parts of the novel (which there are a lot of). Itās unique, complex, and littered with mysteries. And I loved it.
I loved loved loved the writing. It was beautiful and eloquent and wonderfully descriptive in a way that makes you feel like youāre in the story without ever feeling like youāre being bogged down by descriptions of things you couldnāt care less about.
The characters may be my favorite thing about this story. All of them are complex and mysterious and I love it. Our main character, Lia, is strong and independent, but at the same time sheās kind, compassionate, and selfless. Not the emotionless husk of a character that YA usually portrays as being āstrongā or āindependentā. Sheās real. Sheās someone you would want to be friends with. The other two main characters (who actually have their own POVs), Rafe and Kaden, added so much to the story. The love triangle between Lia, Rafe, and Kaden was actually done well and I didnāt mind it. The multiple POV aspect of this book was also done really, really well. I enjoyed reading from everyoneās point of views and I was never finding myself enjoying one over the others.
Over all, Iād give The Kiss of Deception 4.5/5 stars. If youāre looking for something with beautiful writing, wonderful plot, and complex characters, then I would definitely recommend it.
An rather unnecessary book haulā¦
