Trojan Fervency 

That kiss, and the fervency of it. I don’t know if I imagined the whole thing up, or was it a part of an ever-fading dream? it felt like Helen’s lips in Paris’: promiscuous & passionate; The thrill of elopement flowed stealthily through my veins like the mighty torrent of a predator river. It felt as sweet as the forbidden apple moist with Eve’s fresh breath, and it felt quite sinfully nectar-like. The price of the kiss is paid as though with Menelaus’s rage, with Agamemnon’s pride, with thousands of ships across the Aegean Sea, How glorious & forbidden a kiss! How tempting & blasphemous! Rebellion is a luxury that Kings cannot afford, but it belongs to me now like a birth-right.
