Even when it’s difficult....
Just finished a quick writing about something that just happened. It was very light hearted, but this line made me think.
Even when it’s difficult….
Yep.
i have said many times, to myself, in discussions, and to Him too, that in my opinion, submission only really shows itself in the times when we find it most difficult.
That makes me think of that Mohammed Ali quote, where they asked him how many crunches he could do. He said something like ‘’I only count them when they start to hurt, because those are the only ones that matter’’ (that is most likely not an exact quote, i am typing it simply from memory).
Submission (to me) is like that.
It’s very easy to submit sexually. It is very easy to be dominated in the bedroom.
Not a challenge at all, lol.
God, please, do whatever the heck You want to me, and i will never raise an objection! Lol.
And in day to day stuff, still pretty easy to do. Because i am HIS slave and HIS submissive. So i am hardwired to want to please Him, to crave to do as i am told by Him.
But i am also a woman in her forties, who has a very strong mind, and on occasion, VERY strong opinions.
As that splendid Man knows all too well. And that is ok. He never wanted a weak, mindless puppet who just said yes to everything without a thought in her head.
So, yes, there are times when it is a challenge, when my own mind screams ‘’get stuffed, i’m not doing that!!’’ (lol, sorry Master, but well, y’know…..) Ok, maybe not as strongly as that, haha, i do like to exaggerate for effect sometimes.
i am also quite sure that being a Dom isn’t always easy. Taking so much on. Being the one that makes all the decisions, etc.
Again, in the bedroom? Yeah, easy peasie, i am sure.
And being a Master is probably even more challenging sometimes.
my Master takes on a lot of responsibility for me, His submissive slave.
He doesn’t just sit there barking orders and thinking of new ways to get me to do things for Him.
And i wouldn’t be anywhere near that kind of guy, to be fair.
It can be challenging for both sides.
But the rewards? i can only speak for myself on this one, but oh my…..the rewards.
It is a stunning way to live. To finally be who i was always meant to be.
To submit to, and serve an astounding Man. One that makes me swoon.
One that i admire, respect and trust more than anyone else at any other point in my life.
Nothing worth having always comes easy. Easy is for losers!
Reblogging, because this is a principle i often think about
God bless America 🤯🤤🤤

100 Things Every Black Girl Should Know: For Girls 10-100 (2017)
100 Things Every Black Girl Should Know is the quintessential collection of invaluable advice designed specifically for you, the young black girl trying to navigate her way through life, as well-seasoned woman looking to brush up on the essentials. This lighthearted but serious gem of a book has made an impact on various races (in testing), but the author wrote it from her perspective as a black woman who was once a young girl who wishes she knew then what she knows now. Since that isn’t possible, she has compiled some of her best and hardest lessons into ten chapters that each include ten “things you should know”, ranging from oral care to the inevitability of heartbreak. This book is intended to spark conversations and change the narrative between sister-friends, mothers and daughters, and womankind, alike. Visit www. TauraStinson.com to learn more about the Author and to get updates on the book.

Taura Stinson is an American Singer/Songwriter and Author who was born in Birmingham, Alabama and raised in Oakland, CA. ‘100 Things Every Black Girl Should Know’ is her first literary effort, which was inspired by her mistakes, victories and general observations both in life, as well as in the music industry where women are routinely marginalized and objectified. She hopes that her book will be the go-to life manual for her young audience, as well as ladies on the far end of the demographic, but her biggest dream is for the text to spark dialogue and heart to heart conversations where they are needed most, at home. Taura continues to write and record music in her Los Angeles home and is already started laying the foundation for her second book.
