I love the Seraphim, but I have a clear favoritism towards S-Shark and S-Bat because I like the idea that, while their progenitors absolutely disdain the other (possibly for good reason too), these two little clones instead actually really like each other and are good friends.
Like Jinbe and Gecko Moria have only been shown interacting once during Marineford, and there was some animosity there, perhaps from a very negative past experience with each other.
But then the Seraphim come into existence and, maybe at first the two didn’t like each other cuz ya know the lineage factor or some sciency bullcrap like that, S-Bat and S-Shark actually start becoming friendly over time in sharp contrast to the Warlords they were cloned from.
Hell, after the Seraphim are given free will and start developing their own relationships amongst themselves, these two just becoming unapologetic besties is a very cute and very funny image in my head.
I dunno if any of this makes sense, I just really wanted to share my thoughts on these two specifically cuz I love em so much.
Always nice to meet another fan of these little winged murder babies!
Despite having such a big showing in Egghead, S-Shark doesn't seem to have as much of the spotlight as S-Snake or S-Hawk. And I've mentioned before how odd this is considering Jinbei is one of the only ex-warlords to come face to face with his Seraphim and not have any reaction to the child clone of himself enslaved by the government who also has a long bloody history of persecuting fishmen except "oh wow, a clone of me. That's kind of weird" Sir, that is for all intents and purposes your son, SHOW SOME CONCERN ABOUT THIS!!
This reduced presence plus S-Shark's ability to disappear into the Earth with the Swim-Swim fruit does go along pretty well with the timid unsure personality I've crafted for Jinta as a direct contrast to Jinbei's grand dignified nature.
You'd think he wouldn't get along with Ashken, aka S-Bat (going to be fun to see if the official Seraphim is called that or S-Gecko), because Ashken's a mischievous little gremlin who loves all things horror. But Jinta also has very good intuition and he can recognize that no matter how scary Ashken's pranks get, nobody is ever in danger of getting hurt because that's not Ashken's idea of a good time.
Which is funny because I like to think that's the reason why Jinbei and Moria don't get along. Jinbei never liked how reckless and destructive Moria was back during his time as a rookie pirate captain and he really didn't like how disrespectfully Moria treats the dead with his abilities. Which is pretty hard to blame him when Moria's cackling with glee over each new corpse he collects to add to his army.
Veering more into headcanon territory with what we know now about Moria's roots, I think he was similarly derided by the people of Wano for being morbid and weird especially with his attitude about the dead which didn't align with Wano's funerary practices. It's a big part of why Moria wanted to leave Wano in the first place and why he has such a chip on his shoulder about people looking down on him, so he instantly responds to Jinbei's disapproval with aggression.
Both of their seraphims though were able to befriend each other because Jinta can look past the surface a bit more and Ashken's not as cynical and vindictive as Moria. Of course it also helps that Ashken uses his shadows more to animate plants than to animate corpses.
