placid penché
bold strokes don’t necessarily
last longer than those which are quiet,
lingering about your mind.
the delicate ballerina has twisted her way
into your head
she gently flutters her fingers and
the movement ripples through
her every bone.
soft shoes dragging trenches
through the fabric of your brain
an etch-a-sketch is cleared
with a single shake
but the ballerina clings tight.
with a graceful pirouette
she reminds you
of her beauty
little dancer
graceful hand.
