What I wanted from Soldier Boy/Homelander’s relationship in Season 5
-Homelander has shut off his humanity and fully believes he’s a god. Everyone is beneath him
-Sister Sage/Ashley/Fire Cracker awaken Soldier Boy. They believe that he will be able to get Homelander to realize he’s not a go
-Soldier Boy agrees, and wants to learn everything about Homelander: what he likes, dislikes, fears, loves etc.
-While researching Homelander, Soldier Boy discovers reports and videos of his upbringing in a lab
-Soldier Boy’s paternal instincts kick in and he becomes protective of Homelander. His protectiveness is what makes Homelander stop believing he’s a god
