The more I think about it the more I’m appalled by Steve Rogers in Endgame. After Tony Stark made the ultimate sacrifice, Steve abandoned his BFF Bucky and everyone who took his side and counted on him.
Sorry, Russo bros, there is NO universe in which Steve is less of an asshole than Tony. Good luck with that.
I need more Dan Weaver content.
It's insane to me that otherwise decent human beings are still gleefully posting about how happy they are that Charlie Kirk was murdered.
(Yes, this is a direct response to a blog that I unfollowed today. Yes, I assumed they were leftist, but they also seemed like a decent human being and I enjoyed their work. No, I will not be "educating" them and I am certainly not going to "beef" with them. It's very disappointing but they simply don't deserve my time.)
1897 has hit a major slog with the death of Sandor and the introduction of Count Petofi and the tiresome Aristede and yet another Roger Davis character.
1897 has lost its focus and, more importantly, its charm and excitement. I want to go home, to Julia and Liz and Roger and a healthy David and Maggie. I’m tired of 1897 and I think there’s at least seventy episodes to go.
Send help, please.
Because it apparently needs to be said and tagged - Palestine is not a real place and fuck the barbarians and murderers and savages pretending it is.
As far as I can tell so far… Fucking DESMOND. *gritting teeth*
I think 1840 gets a bad rap. I know the lead-up to after 1995 is similar to the lead-up to 1897, but I just find 1840 compelling right away, whereas it took a few episodes for me to get used to 1897.
Then again, I do love Julia beyond all reason, so I might be biased towards 1840 because it’s Julia and not Grayson Hall playing a different character.
This is just a wacky merry band of sadists in this time period, isn’t it? Now, will Barnabas join Quentin’s Murder Club or will Quentin join Barnabas’s Murder Club?
I skipped back ahead to season 10 because I wanted to see the early days of Watts and I’m reminded of a couple of things:
Rebecca James was amazing. I love her so much and still miss her.
Nate Desmond was a jerk and Rebecca was far too good for him.
Sorry, Watts is bisexual. There is no way he is only gay based on his first couple of seasons.
Watts’s sister was an evil bitch.
09.01 - Chief Constable Giles is back? Excellent. And looking out for a former constable from what I sincerely hope was his least favorite station house? I’d hate to see the stress he had from station houses he liked less than #4.
I look forward to the rest of this episode, though the idea that George actually made it to prison is a little hard to believe. Everyone, down to the last man, would have been going out of their way to make sure that didn’t happen.
But I won’t complain too much, because Giles.
Walker, Texas Ranger was one of my all-time favorite shows to watch in the 1990s growing up and alongside the action sequences, there were a lot of lessons learned to stand up for yourself while not letting people in a cruel world bring you down to a low level. I absolutely adore the entire cast and there was something special about it. The news of the passing of Chuck Norris was so unexpected for 2026 and we lost a great man...
Rest in peace, Ranger...🤠Thank you for the memories and making this cruel world a better place; a true force of nature
08.16 - The wrestling episode.
The George/Edna relationship progresses and the women’s vote league clashes with the women’s temperance league (no one is the heavy favorite there because Lillian Moss is involved).
Murdoch’s reaction shots continue to give me life.
08.15 - I see this is the original Murdoch from the tv movies as our Murdoch’s fatherly (no pun intended) mentor. I really need to watch those movies. I understand the fabulous Colm Meaney (Chief O’Brien from DS9 and TNG) played Brackenreid in the movies, while the series role was inherited by the fabulous Thomas Craig, who we all love and adore.
I enjoyed this episode and it made me think without bashing me over the head with what I was supposed to think, which I appreciate more and more from shows these days. It was one of those episodes where I sincerely hope the guilty party was at least spared the noose.
I wish Outterbridge would have appeared again. I think he could have fit in as an occasional guest star visiting “Will” and being roped into helping him out with whatever he’s working on at the time.
Barron Trump’s thoughts at his dad’s first election: “C’mon, man, I just wanna go to sleep and watch this tomorrow on YouTube like literally everyone else in the country.”
Barron Trump’s thoughts at his dad’s second election: “I’ve been taking names and numbers for the last decade and revenge is a dish best served cold, you traitorous anti-American mother fuckers.”
I look forward to seeing Barron unleashed in the next twenty years.
08.10 - I’m already sick of Lillian Moss. What a judgmental bitch. Not surprised she turns out to have been shady, though the show tried to clean that up by throwing a man under the bus, of course.
Then again, she is ultimately the reason I’m rid of Emily Grace eventually, so I guess I can just grit my teeth and endure her for a little while.
Kudos to Julia for not rising to the bitch’s bait.
Yes, Murdoch, go into the edwardian era INSANE ASYLUM where unsanctioned early lobotomies have been done WITH NO BACKUP and go into the SECRET ROOM where the ones who have become violent are being kept
GREAT FUCKING PLAN, YOU CATHOLIC GOOFUS
Note to self, when rewatching again, just reblog again and give credit to original poster even if you add observs.
