Good Works do Not Save Us; We are Saved to Do Good Works.
“Jesus Christ gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.” (Titus 2:14, NKJV) We have been saved to do good works. Let’s be very clear about this. Good works do not save us. We are not saved “by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” (Titus 3:5–7, NKJV) The work of salvation has been done by the Lord Jesus Christ himself. We are justified (made acceptable to God) by receiving as a gift the salvation he has provided through Christ. However, we are saved to do the good works he has appointed for us. “This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.” (Titus 3:8, NKJV) He has set us free from the power of self and sin so we can do the work he has prepared us to do. We must first make sure we have established a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Then we must take the next step: to become a converterlator, investing our time, talent, and treasure to convert the perishable things in this world into the imperishable values that will last for eternity. Today, ask yourself: Am I eternally minded? Am I conducting my life in such a way that it will echo into eternity?
Playing to an Audience of One.
“For they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them; but it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You favored them.” (Psalm 44:3, NKJV) The world elevates people whom it proclaims are self-made individuals. Many of these people bask in the glory given to them by the world. But in reality, all life is sourced by God. In the verse from Psalm 44:3, the Lord made it perfectly clear that possession did not come by their own sword or by their own arm. The possession of the land was brought about by the right hand of the Lord, his arm, and the light of his countenance. He favored them! In the same manner, believers are not self-sufficient people who can claim any of our “successes” as being of our own making. Any glory should go only to God. This principle is proclaimed throughout Scripture. The blessing of the Lord is responsible for what we have. The Lord has given people who have wealth the power to gain such wealth. In fact, we are warned not to forget the Lord when things seem to be going right. It is only by the Lord’s provision that we can enjoy life in this world. If the Lord blesses us in our endeavors for him, we must be careful to make sure that any glory goes to him and not to us. We should play to one audience, and that is God himself. The only words I want to hear someday are, “Well done, faithful servant. Now enter into the joy of your Lord.
Today, ask yourself: Am I making sure that any accomplishment is sourced in God alone, and that it is by his provision and favor I have been able to experience it?
Unbelief Releases You Into The Camp of The Enemy.
Psalms 78:56-61
56 Yet they tested and provoked the Most High God, And did not keep His testimonies, 57 But turned back and acted unfaithfully like their fathers; They were turned aside like a deceitful bow. 58 For they provoked Him to anger with their high places, And moved Him to jealousy with their carved images. 59 When God heard this, He was furious, And greatly abhorred Israel, 60 So that He forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, The tent He had placed among men, 61 And delivered His strength into captivity, And His glory into the enemy's hand. NKJV

Thursday, 18 May 2017 00:00 THE POWER-PRODUCING PRAYER, By Dr. Paul Enenche.
SCRIPTURE: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. Ephesians 6:18.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Prayer produces power in the life of a Christian.
It has been established that men and women of prayer are men and women of power. Prayer produces power in the life of a Christian. One typical example of a man whose prayer life produced power was Paul the Apostle. In 1 Corinthians 14:18, the Bible makes it clear that Paul prayed in tongues more than the whole church of the Corinthians; he was literally praying always. What a mobile prayer dynamo he was! In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Paul admonished the Thessalonians to pray without ceasing. He was telling them his practice. No wonder, he was a man who exported power, even the power of the Gospel of Christ to the Gentiles to such a point that handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them (Acts 19:12).
Demons were checked out because he prayed in tongues more than every other person in his days. This was a man who was stoned and left to die but woke up and said, ‘Let us go to the next city for crusade.’ (Acts 14:19-20 paraphrased).
Beloved, your life shall produce power as you embark on persistent prayer from today, in Jesus’ Name.
Remember this: Prayer produces power in the life of a Christian. ASSIGNMENT(S): 1. Connect the power of God by engaging in a persistent life of Prayer. 2. Pray according to God’s promises in Scripture. PRAYER: O LORD, I ask for the grace to prevail with You at the place of prayer, in Jesus’ Name.

He Satisfies the Longing of Your Soul with Goodness.
Psalms 107:9 9.For He satisfies the longing soul, And fills the hungry soul with goodness. NKJV
Only one person has access to the true deep hunger of your soul, and that is your spirit(1 Corinthians 2:11-12) which is one with God when you accept, confess and believe Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal savior.
Dearest, you were not created to exist without God. No one knows what your heart hungers for like God because He made you and He is making you to be like Him for you to be part of His inheritance in Christ Jesus. No one can fill that God-sized vacuum in your heart when He is not yet the Lord of your life.

The Beauty of Grace.
John 4:36-38 36. And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. 37. For in this the saying is true:'One sows and another reaps.' 38. I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors." NKJV
Grace is beautiful in that you enjoy God’s Riches at Christ’s Expense.
Receive it, Accept it, Believe it and Walk in it!!!

Never Let Their Bad Get To You.
Psalms 106:32-34
32 They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes:
33 Because they provoked his spirit, so that he spake unadvisedly with his lips.
KJV
Your enemy the devil will always send people across to offend you so as to kill your joy which needed for established victory in life(Psalms 126:6). Never let their bad get to you to the extent of releasing unadvisedly against yourself nor others.
Provocative confrontations resulting from provocation attracts the ill-will of God. Moses only saw the promise land and never stepped into it because he allowed the bad of his subjects to get to him.
I pray for you today, that by the power of God’s love, mercy and grace, receive help from above for self control in Jesus Name, Amen!

Blessing Beyond Riches.
Prov 14:21 21 Whoever despises his neighbor is a sinner, but blessed is he who is generous to the poor. ESV
To be blessed is beyond money and material things. From the above Scripture, it is seen that to be thoughtful about and generous to the poor is to be blessed. Is not everybody that can actually give, so to be en-graced to give is a blessing.
Are you blessed? Reach out to some one with a smile or what ever you have to give. You are en graced by God through the Holy Spirit in Christ Jesus to give what you have and not what you don’t have. You have smile, talent, money, time, treasure, whatever, just give it out to some one that needs it.

Power Source for Wealth---God!
Deuteronomy 8:18
18. "And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. NKJV

A TRUST Acronym.
Memorize and Meditate “It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.” (Isaiah 55:11, NLT) T = THANK God that he will accomplish his purposes in us. R = RECEIVE the revelation that leads to renewal. U = UNDERSTAND. Understanding leads to conviction and results in our taking action. S = SPIRIT. Through the power of the cross and the Holy Spirit, we are crucified to the flesh and to the lures of the world. T = TRANSFORM by degrees as we forget the past, reach forward, and press toward the call of God in Christ Jesus. Never let go of the trust handle for everyday living. Those who practice trusting in the Lord will be blessed!
The Intrinsic Nature of Challenges.
Deuteronomy 8:2-3
2. And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. NKJV.
God leads you through the challenges of life for these reasons
1. To humble you.
2. To prove you, how sure is your faithfulness towards Him.
3. To know what is in thine heart, whether you will still keep His commandments against all odds.
All these work towards developing you into a person of non questionable character. God loves you so much in that He wants to mold you before He makes you. He is more interested in who you are than what you have or you are doing for Him. STAY FAITHFUL BECAUSE GOD IS...!!!

Tuesday, 09 May 2017 LIVING TO GAIN GOD’S APPROVAL, By Dr. Paul Enenche.
SCRIPTURE: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is not how you appear before people that matters, but how you appear before God.
Joshua was a respected High priest of God. He was very instrumental to the rebuilding of the temple of Jerusalem. But one day, as he stood before the angel of God to minister, he was clothed with filthy garments and satan stood to resist him.
This story illustrates the spiritual condition of Joshua the high priest. Joshua was decently dressed in the eyes of everyone as he carried out his priestly duties but in the realm of the spirit, he was clothed with filthy garment.
Beloved, I want you to note that it is not how you appear before people that matters, but how you appear before God. It is not how you are perceived in the physical realm that matters but how you are perceived in the spiritual realm. In the eyes of the world, a person may be very spiritual and committed but in the eyes of God, he may be wearing a filthy dress of sin. Beloved, do not struggle for human approval but for Divine approval. Invest your time and energy to find out what God thinks about you.
Remember this: It is not how you appear before people that matters, but how you appear before God
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1.Live in the consciousness of Divine approval.
2.Ask God to remove every garment of sin from your life.
PRAYER: O LORD, I ask that You remove and destroy every filthy garment from my life. Help me, LORD to live daily in Your consciousness, in Jesus’ Name.
FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: WHAT GARMENT ARE YOU WEARING?

Benefits of God’s love towards His Children.
Deut. 33:3
3. Yes, He loves the people; All His saints are in Your hand; They sit down at Your feet; everyone receives Your words. NKJV
God’s love for us positions us in His presence and in His presence amazingly unexpected things happen. There is joy in its fullness and direction(Psalms 16:11) considering this chaotic world in which we have found ourselves.
Every letter of His word directs us into fulfilling destiny and establishes us in His divinely perfect plan and purpose for our lives.
Beloved, we are not created to live without God. There is a God-sized vacuum in your heart that no one can fill except God. Don’t take His amazing love for granted. Take your relationship with your God very seriously because it your door way to experiencing absolute joy and fulfillment in life. DARE TO LIVE RIGHT!!!

The Son Empowers Us to Cast Darkness Aside.
Memorize and Meditate “‘So may all your enemies perish, Lord! But may all who love you be like the sun when it rises in its strength.’ Then the land had peace forty years.” (Judges 5:31, NIV) Soak your Heart When we experience Christ—the Morning Star—rising in our heart, it feels like the sun when it rises in its full strength. The sun scatters the darkness. When the Son rises in our heart, he brings light to our innermost being and empowers us to cast the works of darkness aside. He brings an increasing desire to invest in the imperishable rather than just the perishable. He brings to light a new worldview with a focus on the life to come in the real world of eternity. Sow to the Spirit Pray: I pray, Father, that the Morning Star will rise in my heart, overcoming any desires that are contrary to your will and best plan for my life. The more I am crucified to my flesh and the lures of this world, the better advertisement I can be to the world around me. Practice Today, go forth with the confidence that the Son is rising more and more in your heart as you commit you way to him.
