Hey, everyone! I'd like to apologize for the lack of content or posts lately. VEDA (Vlog Every Day in August) became a much harder task than I originally had thought it would be. I take responsibility for starting a journey that I wasn't well prepared for. However, this has been quite the learning experience, and I'm excited for where this blogwithavlog will go after this month. I'm already brainstorming and coming up with ideas for new content.

Hey, everyone! Today is Day 23 of VEDA (Vlog Every Day in August), and I thought I'd take the time to list some things that I'm proud of about myself. Too often, we focus on the negative about ourselves. Whether it's things that we don't like, wish we could change, or dislike, it can be very draining on our personal energy. I find it very important to take the time to remember the things about ourselves that we enjoy or admire. Be proud of who you are, always. Above is the video showcasing the things I'm proud of about myself.

I'd also like to take the time to apologize for missing yesterday's VEDA. I had to do an overhaul cleaning of my house since I live with two dogs and a baby, it's very important that regular cleaning happen. Thank you so much for watching/reading! Hey, everyone! Today is Day 21 of VEDA (Vlog Every Day in August), and I did the throwback tag. I found the questions on Google, and I thought they would be a fun set to answer. I had a lot of fun making this video, and I shared quite a few stories from my childhood. As always, below will be the set of questions I used. This time I will not be accompanying the questions with the answers since most of these required a more detailed response. Hey, everyone! Welcome to Day 20 of VEDA (Vlog Every Day in August). Today, I thought I'd introduce you to one of the most important people in my life. My dog, Batman, is one of the best gifts I have ever received. Above is a video where I talk more about how I got him and what he means to me. Hey, everyone! Today is Day 19 of VEDA (Vlog Every Day in August), and I thought I'd answer some fun questions. Hey, everyone! Today is Day 17 of VEDA (Vlog Every Day in August), and I thought it'd be a great time to find out my patronus. After doing the Harry Potter tag, I realized that I really didn't know what my patronus would be.

I ended up stumbling upon a quiz over at Hypable. Although I am still very curious for what the Pottermore quiz will say when it finally comes up, I'm really happy with the results from Hypable. Above is the video where I take the quiz and get my result.

The Fennec Fox is an animal who I had seen before, but I've never really thought about it. It's rather adorable, and I'm quite pleased with the description that the quiz provides. Just for fun, I decided to make this little graphic of my patronus. I hope you enjoy!

Hey, everyone! Today is Day 16 of VEDA (Vlog Every Day in August), and I decided to do the book tag! I found this tag on Google, and in honor of myself reading the Harry Potter books again, I thought I'd give this one a go. I actually found the questions to be fun to answer, and I truly hope that you enjoy watching the video above. As usual, here is the list of the questions that I used followed by my answers for those who would rather skip the video. :)

Not really. I just like spacious areas where I can move about while reading.

Reading has always been one of my favorite past times after discovering Harry Potter as a kid. One of my most favorite genres is autobiographies, but fiction comes quickly after. Hey, everyone! Today is Day 15 of VEDA (Vlog Every Day in August), and I went Pokemon hunting! It was a pretty nice day, and I decided to go to Forsyth Park in downtown Savannah. Of course, this meant that I would be bringing my phone to play some Pokemon Go. I ended up not catching anything new at the park, but I still ended the day on a good note! Above is the video showcasing my adventures for the day.

I also managed to get some pretty cool photos of a squirrel that I passed along the path. He was quite the character and even did some modeling for me...well, as much as a wild squirrel can do for a person. Forsyth park is quite the beautiful location if you couldn't tell from the video. I definitely recommend visiting if you ever have the chance, it even has a Pokemon gym as well as multiple pokestops!

Hey, everyone! Today is Day 14 of VEDA (Vlog Every Day in August), and I thought I'd do the Doctor Who tag today. Doctor Who is a show that means a lot to me, because it's one of the first television shows that I really got into that wasn't a cartoon. I'll never forget the day that I first stumbled upon Doctor Who and fell in love. I've seen every episode of New Who and as much of Classic Who that was available for me to watch.

This video was a lot of fun to make, and I truly hope that you enjoy it. Below, I'll list out the questions that I used for this tag which were found on Google. Hey, everyone! Today marks Day 13 of VEDA (Vlog Every Day in August), and I decided to do the Harry Potter tag. I looked this up on Google to find the questions that I used. I was inspired to do this tag after reading the eighth installment of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Along with re-watching the 8 movies, it has really revitalized my love for the Harry Potter universe.

Hey, everyone! Today is VEDA Day 12, and I'm reviewing the eighth installment of the Harry Potter series, otherwise known as Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. It's best to remember that this is not a book but a play written with the help of J.K. Rowling. I explain more of this in the video above, however, it's important to remember that this video does contain spoilers if you haven't read the book or seen the play.

I'd like to take another moment to apologize for the short blog posts that have been coming lately. When I started this project along with VEDA, I didn't realize how much work would go into writing posts as well as filming and editing vlogs every day. I'm still dedicated to completing VEDA as well as accompanying videos with blog posts. I just ask for some understanding with the short posts for this month. Hey, everyone! We're back for Day 11 of VEDA (Vlog Every Day in August). Unfortunately, I have missed days 6 through 11. Life got a little more busy than I expected, and I wasn't able to film, edit, or upload any vlogs or blogs. I appreciate your understanding.

For today, I decided to put together a compilation of what footage I did take over the past weekend. It's mainly footage from the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia. Taylor, my girlfriend, and I went to visit the aquarium for our one year anniversary. Although she had never been before, it was not my first time going. I've been multiple times over the years since its opening. Above you'll find the video.

Thank you for watching/reading. I'm sorry that these blog posts are often short, but it's hard to maintain writing a blog and filming a video every day for VEDA. However, once VEDA is over, there will be more blog posts that go more in depth to accompany the videos.

Hey, everyone! Today is Day 5 of VEDA (Vlog Every Day in August). Sadly, I wasn't able to make an upload for yesterday's day four. I just got caught up in everyday activities. However, we are back today with Day Five.

Today, I did a video that lists my five favorite movies. I decided to piggyback off of my last VEDA where I mentioned owning over 300 DVDs, so I thought I'd share some of my favorites. Hey, everyone! I hope you are having a great day! It is day two of VEDA (Vlog Every Day in August), and I had a fairly relaxed day. Once again, I babysat both of my nieces. Today, we went to Toys R Us.

This turned out to be a fun trip that worked out in my favor. It was a win-win for the kids and myself. Brianna, 7, got to look at various toys and play with ones that had demos or "try me". Thea, 3 months, was able to get out of the house and take a nice nap. I was able to spend time with both of them as well as get a good walk in.

Above is a short vlog on what I did today as well as some quick footage at Toys R Us, bonus footage of Brianna telling you what she got. Keep reading for some tips on having an easy trip at a toy store with a child and baby.

Toy stores can often be a stressful, hectic time when going with children. They want to touch everything, play with it, and buy every item that they think is cool. However, money and time might disagree with these wants, and they typically do. Here are some tips on how to make the trip as easy as possible:

Be interactive with your children! - Too often I see parents/guardians who don't engage much with the children that they're with. They passively listen to what toys their children are interested in, or they quickly dismiss the child's words despite what it's about. - I understand having a set goal for a toy store. You don't want to lead your child on or spend more time looking at an item than necessary. However, I have noted that allowing your child to see that you find their interests also interesting can mean a world of difference to them.

Don't be afraid to say "yes". - I don't mean that you should just go with the flow and buy whatever toy that they want. I mean, don't be afraid to let your child interact with a toy for a short bit. Taking an extra few minutes to play/engage with one item can make it easy to bypass the next ten items. I find it makes it easier for a child to accept multiple no's because they remember the yes that they just got.

Trips to the toy store can either go smoothly or array. I have just found that these couple of things have really helped when I take my nieces to the toy store. Another quick tip, sometimes you can plan actual visits to the toy store. Make it known to the child that you will not be purchasing any items, but they can look and play with some of the items. You can even make it a fun trip and tell them you're planning for the next gift giving holiday or birthday. Sometimes, I pre-plan an amount that I'd be willing to spend, usually between $5-$20, and I'll surprise my niece at the end of the trip with the option to buy a small item (usually towards the front of the store).

Hey, everyone! Welcome to my first post as well as my first vlog!

Today marks the beginning of VEDA! For those of you who don't know, VEDA stands for Vlog Every Day in August. This is my first time ever participating in such an event/cause. I'm really excited to start this journey of vlogging everyday, and I'm even more excited for you to join me in my adventure.

I will admit that some days will be more eventful than others. Today's vlog/blog is very short as I spent much of the day babysitting my nieces and then finishing up with cleaning my room for my girlfriend's visit this week. Our anniversary is this coming weekend, and we have some exciting adventures planned that I hope to catch on camera. We will see how much she actually lets me vlog with her. Perhaps I can convince her to actually do a video with me.

For a quick vlog on what my day was like, watch the video above. Keep reading for some tips I have for cleaning your room in a hour. :)

Cleaning is sometimes therapeutic, this is true, but a lot of time, it can seem like a hassle. This can be especially true if one is in a hurry, as I was tonight since I have to be up early to babysit (and I still need to edit and put together this vlog for upload by midnight!). Here are some tips I have to help save time:

Always have a trash can or trash bag at the ready and easy to reach. - You'd be surprised by how many little pieces of trash that you might find laying around.

Be ready to de-clutter and dispose! - Use this time to really think about what you don't need/want anymore. - Chances are if you haven't touched or used something in the past 3+ months then it's time to go. Try donating or trashing it.

Have a plan of where you want things to go. - Start grouping similar items together and place them in areas close to each other. - This allows for easy access and easy memorization.

Most of all, make it fun! - Play music, dance around, make it a game, etc. These are the kinds of things to help make cleaning go faster. Find what you like best and utilize it to make the time go faster!
