I actually fucking HAAAAAATE this idea going around in people’s heads that their ocs or they themselves can fix any of these characters and make them love them/turn them good. Oh my god I get the whole concept and whatever like have your fun I GUESS but did any of you actually play the game or are you just projecting because you don’t have sex and go outside. If any of these bitches were real they’d kill your annoying needy ass on the spot
I was a victim of my own hopefull heart when I just came to the fandom, but I fully agree with this statement now.
Stop allowing your saviour complex to lie to you about these characters, if they could they would do the worst things possible, the less you want it the more they'll do it. Realising they will betray you in 99% of situations is important.
The things I want to do to Lawrence are... unholy. What I would give to feel his flesh squeezed under my fingers, taking away his ability to move, talk, even breathe until he's unconscious... Just to do it all over again. This bitch deserves every little stab, and he can survive each one of them, and it makes me feral.
I'm sure a lot of people feel this way, it's nothing special, but god how it eats me alive from the inside.
I always thought that Ed’s apartment was particularly interesting, so I compiled as much information as I could about the interior. I can tell Gotham’s crew put a lot of thought and effort into it
? Most of his furniture was found at antique shops
? The table in his kitchen is made from a butcher’s block. The warped shape suggests it has been well used
? The mirror beside his bed has a Black Forest carved wood frame made in Switzerland (1800s)
? The blanket on his bed is a 1920s patchwork quilt made from wool suiting samples
? The coffee table is a wooden cobbler’s bench that Ed uses to work on his home projects
? He has a 1950s Singer Featherweight sewing machine which he uses to make his first Riddler costume
? The tall machine near the piano is a Zelda the Mysterious fortune teller
St. John’s Wort: used for depression, nervousness, tiredness, poor appetite, and trouble sleeping
Echinacea: helps fight infections such as a cold or flu
Ginkgo Leaf: helps with memory loss, dizziness, difficulty concentrating, and mood disturbances
I still don’t know if this sign outside of Ed’s apartment is just a prop or not (I assume it is). But it suggests that Edward lives right above a Toys & Games shop!! The sign gives his loft its green glow
I get these little obsessions over Lawrence every 4 month or so, so I'm here to share some random unfiltered thoughts and disappear again:
Lawrence's struggles feel exceptionally human to me. He feels like the realest person when it comes to being afraid to be perceived as a monster. (His crying fit after being called a monster is what lives in my head rent-free) He feels so human when he is afraid and nervous, it's ironic.
Even though he is a massive coward, I came to a thought that he isn't a lying type. Of course, he lies from time to time, but he seems to be painfully bad at it, and when it comes to telling the truth, he either doesn't want to admit it to the verge of a breakdown or just says as it is. Maybe it's stupidity and he's just accidentally honest, but I like this part of him.
Also, I sometimes wonder which particular situations brought him so much shame. I see shame splattered all over him. I know there were a lot of mistakes made by his own hands, but what was the first disturbing thing he did? Was it a mistake? And what happened before that? And after?... I guess I'll just keep wondering
I always considered the reason for his unstable state to be his fear of admitting to himself what he is and what he likes. He was neglected and outcasted his whole life, and I feel like he can't admit his dark desires to himself because it would mean they had a reason to. That he deserved it. What a frustrating situation, isn't it? I think his mind agrees, this is how you get sleep-deprived twitchy creeps with inability to emotionally regulate themselves.
For some reason, I think of the word "tender" when I remember Law. In some (maybe most) situations he is everything but tender, but I can't unlink this word from him.
Law would have greatly benefited from schema-therapy if he had the balls to face himself (and maybe was mortal :D)
I wonder if he ever bit himself to just see what happens (I'm sad 'cause he would have bit someone for sure if he wanted to)
I also involuntary realized he is involuntary celibates (or an incel). And even though I can get over the fact that stereotypes about man who just can't get a partner being incels aren't always true, but Lawrence did worse things than just having a questionable online presence. This thought leaves a bitter taste in my mouth...
I wonder if he ever wanted to become a mortician. (He is the type of guy that makes people enforce only hiring women though)

The fact that Lawrence wants to distance his arms from himself via the tattoos/not thinking of them as part of his body is his mind dissociating as a way of protecting himself from his own actions

Strade knows his actions are wrong but he does not care. Lawrence knows they are wrong too and he does care but he does them anyway. Which is freaky in its own right. And Ren is a complicated other story tbh
His reasoning for tattoos is fr my favorite part of the character, it shows how far he has fallen without a way of going back, and this distinct reminder of him wanting to distance himself from his actions is staying on his body as long as the body stays with him. Which is counterintuitive!! and so him!!!
I also think he does not fully understand the process his body is undergoing (in btd2), so, even if he does not think straight, he still permanently (!) marks his body with his regrets, yet it shows that he really has no intention to stop doing it and regretting it. It will stay with him.
...Maybe someone said it already, or maybe i'm overthinking it i need some sleep hahah
