Hello and welcome to bloodiedfngs. This is an independent role play account for an original character based in 1987’s The Lost Boys. This blog will take inspiration from the source material, other sources, and will be mostly headcanon based. Dark themes will be present so I ask that you are at least 20+ before interacting. Rules are under the cut, and a few links will be present to help you about my blog. Please note that this is a sideblog, and you will be followed by carlahowl.

Rules to follow! I'll keep it simple:
Mun: My name's AJ! I love characters, love talking about them all the time. I love to read and write. I mostly read horror, and recently found it's actually a favorite genre of mine. I'm a nerd, a dork, hella shy, and would love to be your friend!
Please be kind and respectful! If there are any issues with me, please come to me in an appropriate manner. I don't bite, I promise. We all know we can't read each other's minds!
NS.FW. It will sometimes be present on this blog. Both muse and mun are of age. I probably won't dive too much into, but it's a possibility. I will tag it accordingly if I do.
Shipping. I love to ship. I'm opened to it as long as we both are good with it, and talk about our muses to see if they click.
Controversial characters. Totally down to write with any type of character. I won't limit myself. If this bothers you, please do not follow.
Triggers. I'll tag what I can/remember. I will NOT write with drunk muses. This doesn't need to be tagged for your threads, I just don't want to deal with it one-on-one.
OCs/Fandoms. Totally chill with OCs, just have some type of an about page. I can fit Bailey into most anything, and will follow blogs I can see working (even if I don't know the fandom).
Be patient! I have a full time job and a few other blogs I hop on. I usually go with the flow, see what muse I have. Plus, I struggle with depression. Some Days are good and others not so much.
OOC. I love to chat ooc. Through IMs or discord. Whatever works for you. Discord is open to mutuals.
Icons. I probably won't be using icons too much. You are welcome to use icons if you wish, though!
It stung more than she wanted to let on as Gabriel began berating her- just a thing to Adam, as if Star herself wasn't aware. Glorified enemies with benefits is all they were to one another, but it hadn't meant her curiosity about the current head vampire wasn't genuine. Fingers curl into the fabric underneath them as he then laid out what he wished he could do to her, Star briefly envisioning each scenario, her body drained of blood, left in a gutter like trash until her boys found her. She bit her tongue when her home was mentioned, gaze only darting down quickly; better a rat hole than a place like this.
The room had become so quiet and still, the sound of wood underneath Gabriel's shoe breaking sounded like a bomb going off, brown eyes watching each step as he got closer to her. Anything he called her, any attempt to get under Star's skin, she would have to remind herself she had been called worse, and had been made to feel smaller than this, by her own mother. "I'm not-" she stopped herself short as he stood over her, finding herself leaning against the keys, the base of them digging into her back. This had been a poor mistake, but one little word had stuck out to Star, interesting to her, but she supposed it could make sense: her.
Adam's sire had been a woman, and with what else Gabriel had just said, their relationship wasn't familial; parading him around, using him.
Swallowing the lump in her throat, Star didn't hold it past him to make good on his promise, perhaps even whether or not Adam gave the go ahead. Hands slowly moved from her lap to grip the edge of the piano bench, still looking up into the face of someone who truly hated her, just for her existing in the same space as himself. And even more with someone he cared so much for, maybe even... "I know you care a lot about him, Gabriel," she wished her voice hadn't quivered, "but I'm not here to hurt him, I don't want to." Even with how Adam had treated her thus far, bringing her back to a place mentally that had been forgotten, Star hadn't wanted to seek any kind of revenge. She just wanted to understand what would cause someone to behave the way he did, get Adam to remember that he once was good, he had to have been.
OH, SHE DIDN’T WANT TO HURT HIM? THAT SHE PROMISED? He laughed. It was bitter, angry at the thought of her promising not to hurt him. Didn't she see? Couldn’t she see what she was doing right now? Her actions were already doing that, but unfortunately Adam didn’t even notice it. Or, maybe he had and Gabriel wasn't being extra protective. Either way, he wasn’t about to allow this to hook deeply to only be ripped out painfully. No. He was tired of her already. He wanted her gone. He wanted her away from Adam.
RELECUNTLY, GABRIEL STRAIGHTENED FROM HUNCHING OVER HER, AND FROM TRAPPING her against the piano. His breathing became more calm, eyes relaxed, but never losing the coldness. His teeth bared for just a second before he turned his back on her. Gabriel then walked over to the broken instrument, and picked up the pieces. He hissed, cursing himself for being so reckless. Blue hues stared down at the pieces with a sudden sadness. This was a gift from Adam. He ruined it, and now he needed a new one. Great. He could hear the lecture from Adam already.
GABRIEL MOVED TO A CORNER OF THE ROOM WHERE A table rested. He placed the broken violin there. The vampire would have to talk to their maid to get this cleaned up. Better that than Adam finding it. Gabriel would tell him later tonight, “ I know you mean well, ” he finally broke the heavy silence with true words. Gabriel knew she had a kind heart, but she was far too stupid and reckless to see what she was really doing. Hell, one could say she was selfish, “ But, you are blind to your own actions, ” was she missing information? Sure, but couldn’t she see the pain she was putting Gabriel through? Maybe she didn’t care, and really who could blame her, “ Such a stupid girl. ” the words were whispered, but he was sure she could hear them.
It stung more than she wanted to let on as Gabriel began berating her- just a thing to Adam, as if Star herself wasn't aware. Glorified enemies with benefits is all they were to one another, but it hadn't meant her curiosity about the current head vampire wasn't genuine.
She just wanted to understand what would cause someone to behave the way he did, get Adam to remember that he once was good, he had to have been.
HIS ANGER FLARED TO A DANGEROUS DEGREE. HANDS CLOSED INTO fists, nails dug into his palms, and blood started to crawl through the small cuts he created. His cheek twitched, jaw tightening. He wanted to close the distance, sink his teeth into her neck, and rip it open. He only saw… her. He saw her in Star’s place, and it made him bristle. How dare she come here, flutter her lashes, get close to him in the way that should be… should be him. Instantly, that thought made his shoulders relax, all the anger drained from his body as he slowly backed away from her.
GABRIEL ROLLED HIS SHOULDERS, CALMING DOWN PHANTOM PAIN OF A beating heart. Blues turned from her, a bitter laugh left parted lips as she spoke, “ Oh, do you now? You just happen to know how much I care about him? ” Again, he turned to walk back over to the window. A sadness crept along him, eyes softening, but he wouldn’t allow her to see it. Gabriel didn’t want her to see how hurt he was by their actions. Yet, he didn’t want to hurt Adam in any way so he just… let it go as best as he could.
HE BROUGHT SOME CONTROL BACK INTO HIM AS HE TURNED towards her once more. A handsome smile crept to his lips, “ No. You don’t promise me anything. Despite everything, you’re still an enemy. Besides, it’s not my story to tell, is it? ” a glint in his eye, “ But just remember this… you are in our territory. Just because you act sweet and innocent, don’t think I won’t hesitate to make you unrecognizable because I sure didn’t with my own parents. ”
𝖆𝖉𝖆𝖒 𝖒𝖆𝖞 𝖘𝖊𝖊𝖒 𝖈𝖆𝖑𝖒 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖆𝖑𝖒𝖔𝖘𝖙 𝖙𝖊𝖆𝖘𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖍 𝖌𝖆𝖇𝖗𝖎𝖊𝖑 𝖆𝖇𝖔𝖚𝖙 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖘𝖎𝖙𝖚𝖆𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓, but on the inside, he was seething at seeing him hurt, even if the scratches weren't anything too serious and would heal easily, it still made him feel extremely uneasy. dwayne had always been the more quiet and serious one, even when he had met the pair back in the 1920s, but this was a side that he never knew was there. clearly that was a real 𝖇𝖊𝖆𝖘𝖙 hidden in there. a beast that they would find a way to control. or put him down like the animal he wants to act like. blue eyes roll and he takes a sip from his glass, " dwayne doesn't like anyone. except for his family, they're his weakness, " adam shrugged, he doubted the vampire had liked him much back in the 1920s and he doubted much had changed since then.
𝖓𝖔𝖙𝖎𝖈𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖙𝖍𝖆𝖙 𝖌𝖆𝖇𝖗𝖎𝖊𝖑 𝖍𝖆𝖉 𝖋𝖎𝖓𝖎𝖘𝖍𝖊𝖉 𝖍𝖎𝖘 𝖌𝖑𝖆𝖘𝖘, he moved with a grace that he had always had, grabbing the bottle and moving back over to him, pouring him another a glass to help him heal. they could easily go and find someone in the hotel to fully help him alone, lilith would give them a name and room number, but he wanted gabriel all to 𝖍𝖎𝖒𝖘𝖊𝖑𝖋 tonight. an eyebrow raised at his comment, a small smirk pulling at his lips as he places the bottle on the small table between their seats, pulling the other chair closer to sit across from him, " and what exactly did you say that caused such a violent reaction? " he wasn't mad at gabriel, not at all, this was how they worked. they always had to know how their enemy thought, how their enemy would react and what their enemies weakness would be. dwayne was playing right into their hands, just like david had. downing his own glass, placing it on the table as he moves closer in his own chair, hands coming to a rest on gabriel's thighs, " a temper? well that should be easy to exploit, "
𝖋𝖔𝖗 𝖆 𝖒𝖔𝖒𝖊𝖓𝖙 𝖍𝖊 𝖈𝖔𝖓𝖘𝖎𝖉𝖊𝖗𝖊𝖉 𝖌𝖆𝖇𝖗𝖎𝖊𝖑'𝖘 𝖘𝖚𝖌𝖌𝖊𝖘𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓, taking out dwayne would be the easier option, but since when did he want to take the easiest path? would it not be more interesting to see if they could get him under control? to be able to use that temper to their own advantage? and if it didn't work, then they could put him down, " potentially. i think he's still useful to us yet, " adam admitted, his eyes being drawn to the mess of his shirt and side. he knew that gabriel could handle himself, that this was nothing in the long game they were playing. that didn't mean that he liked to see him hurt like this, it made him worry and that was a feeling he did not like. whilst gabriel was not close to 𝖉𝖊𝖆𝖙𝖍 with this injury, it was a reminder that he could lose him and that was something he would never let happen, " be honest with me - how are you feeling? i don't want you hurting too much, i need you strong, " in fact, he just needed him. he couldn't stand the idea of not having gabriel with him and there was something he could do to help him, something that he would only really let gabriel do to make him better.
GABRIEL REMEMBERED MEETING THEM IN THE TWENTIES, AND IT WAS clear they weren’t happy to see them. It was territorial. Yet, here they were slipping in with ease. David was far too soft to be the head vampire now, but alas he was. If Gabriel could be so bold to say that he was doing a poor job of it. Werewolves? Now them? Was he even trying to keep this place for himself? Still, he saw something in Dwayne back then, and now he had seen it full force. Dwayne was a beast. He may look charming, maybe even act like it, but he was blood thirsty, “ I agree. ” he said softly, turning his eyes away from Adam.
HE LISTENED AS HE WALKED CLOSER, PULLING UP A CHAIR to sit right in front of him. Gabriel reached for the refilled glass and took another sip from it. The taste was rich, a little cold, but he could survive it. He needed to heal as quickly as he could because Dwayne actually did a good number on him. He wouldn’t admit it, but it was true. He could feel the burn of his claws against his skin. The scratches were deep, and each movement made a wave of pain wash over him. Dwayne was strong, a little terrifying if he was honest. No matter. Gabriel would find a way to get back at him, hurt him ten times as much as he had done to him.
HANDS ON HIS THIGHS PULLED HIM OUT OF HIS MUSINGS, and finally his blue eyes met Adam’s gaze, “ I… I might have mentioned he’s missing his sister. I hadn’t seen her around. He got rather defensive of that, ” he shrugged his shoulders, “ Yeah. His temper is larger than when we first met him. ” Unconsciously— almost instinctively, one hand crept forward, a finger gingerly hooking around one of Adam’s. Gabriel looked down at their hands for a second. Being here, being next to him, could have cleared the pain. ‘Better me than Adam’, he thought.
ADAM’S QUESTION MADE HIM HESITATE. HE HOPED HE WOULDN’T NOTICE, but who was he kidding? Adam knew him perfectly. It made him smile, “ I’m in more pain than I would like to admit, ” he said truthfully, “ I wasn’t expecting that out of him. He got me really deep. ”
It was when she felt the air around them tense that Star suddenly wondered if she should just leave, instead she remained where she was, even with every warning sign. Gabriel's eyes shifting quickly, his fangs baring at her were nearly enough for her own defenses to appear, but Star held back - only until the neck of the violin had finally splintered and cracked, falling to the floor with a clatter. Run, run, run- leave, just go. Every sense told her what to do, but Star refused to back down in any sort of way. She had dealt with worse, so far, from her own brother, and she could keep her emotions in check for a little while longer.
Gabriel's anger was of the still kind she noted, at least at the start, almost alarmingly calm in tone as he spoke. It took everything Star had in her not to begin to make loose threads on her skirt, arms instead crossing over her chest. "I know he trusts me enough, but just like David, there's still things about him I don't know, just like there's things about me he doesn't," Star replied as calmly as she could, the lie coming so easily to her. David knew more about her than anyone ever had in her life, letting him know about the darker parts of her that had once kept her up, thoughts racing.
Star's brown eyes looked up at Gabriel's blue, his height now more than ever actually intimidating her as she sat at the piano bench, but nonetheless, she would at least try to be genuine. "There's no one better to ask this than you, I've seen how he's completely different with you than me."
DESPITE HIS RAGE AT HER, HE COULD HEAR ADAM’S VOICE complaining about the now broken violin. Part of him softened at the thought, and all Gabriel had to do was give him a face to make it all better. But, that softness was just there for a second before it flashed back to a burning cold. No, he liked the idea of the violin’s neck as her own. It was far too swift and kind of a death for her. He wanted to make her beg for life— no. No, he wanted her to beg for the suffering to end. What a much sweeter use of her voice.
GABRIEL DROPPED THE REST OF THE BROKEN INSTRUMENT TO THE floor. He mumbled to himself, straightened his posture, and ran his fingers through his hair. The vampire turned away from her gaze, instead he looked out one of the windows, “ Huh, trusts you enough? ” he snarled the word, “ If he did, then I suppose you would know, wouldn’t you? ” his hands were placed on his hips, looking down upon the many who hustled below.
HE LOOKED OVER HIS SHOULDER AT HER, DISINTEREST CLEAR ON his expression, “ Clearly you are just a thing to him. Just as you feel towards him. How he sees it— or, how he can ignore it baffles me, ” the cold rage climbed in his chest, “ You’re using him so clearly and it disgusts me right down to the grave. If it were up to me… oh, if only it was up to me I would have you ripped to shreds. Let you rot in the streets where your precious boys could see you. Maybe even tear you limb by limb, sending the prices to that rat hole you call a home. ”
GABRIEL TURNED ON HIS HEELS TO FACE HER, EYES GLITTERING, “ Because you’re nothing. Absolutely nothing, ” slowly, he walked up to her, stepping on a wooden piece of the violin. He heard a crack under his shoes, and his lips curled into a smile. It was no friendly one, but rather wicked and cruel, “ You ought to watch yourself. If you hurt him in any way, ” he said, now towering over her, “ If you dare to keep parading him around like this, using him like she had, ” he hunched forward, closing her between the piano and himself, “ I will personally make sure you beg for death. ” blue eyes were wide, almost an intense crazy that could drive anyone mad.
@pierprincess asked: The sound of violin music spills into the hall, Star’s fingertips idly dragging along the walls as she walks, following it to the source. There, her eyes land on Gabriel, violin tucked between his shoulder and chin, bow going as such a speed Star worried it may catch fire. She doesn’t know the musical mood ring of the older vampire, stepping in and seating herself at the piano bench, but she still turns to look up at him. “I know that of course Adam sired both you and Gabriel, but what about him? I’d ask him myself, but there’s so much about him that he keeps to himself, and considering just how… close he and I are, I want to know more. If anything, it would help me get why he is the way he is.”
HE WAS SEETHING. A BURNING RAGE THAT STARTED WITHIN HIS belly, moved to his chest, and finally to his fingertips. The violin was in his hands, and from it came a sweet yet burning melody. Yes, he was beyond livid. Watching as Adam had Star wrapped around his arm, showing her off, and her smile was so foolish— he stopped as he sensed someone was in the room with him, and he knew it wasn’t Adam.
WHEN HE TURNED, HIS HANDS LOWERED TO HIS SIDES WITH the delicate instrument still within his grasp. A warning look flashed across his expression, but no she didn’t catch it. The gall she had to sit, to talk about wanting to get even closer to Adam because she and him were already close made something boil under his skin. This made his eyes flicker to that yellow-red, and the grip on the violin’s neck tightened— so tight he could feel the wood bend, and a small creaking sound of protest.
LIPS CURLED, FANGS ALREADY BARED IN IRRITATION. THE VIOLIN GAVE one last scream of protest before— snap! The violin’s neck broke, the body falling to the floor. A perfect imagery of what he wished to do to her, “ Seems like you two aren’t as close as you think, ” he controlled himself from growling out the words. They were instead calm, chillingly at ease, “ Why would I ever tell you something that he clearly doesn’t trust you with? ”
There is a way to know what mood Gabriel is in. If you hear the piano then that’s a neutral mood, and you can very much approach him. If you hear the violin? Do not approach him because he is in a bad mood, probably angry. If you hear the cello… he’s in deep thought or sad. You may approach, but he may deflect questions.
The gesture of kindness, or at least being a gentleman, both made Star be more alert of Gabriel, but also tell her she was getting some kind of in with him. He wasn't as cold and standoffish to her as he had first been, the two at least now able to have a conversation, and the topic being what it was. Taking the offered glass with a quick, thin smile, Star held it in her hands instead, brows raising in surprise that her guess had been right. It had been a sort of tongue-in-cheek guess on her part, since if people didn't think vampires roamed here, New Orleans was the first place instead; thanks, Anne Rice.
She watched as he spoke of his parents, how his mouth curled up in a snarl, the anger ladened there, and while it was apparent she had had found her in, Star also felt her own undead heart drop a little. Understanding what it was like not to be enough to ones parents felt almost universal, a disappointment was a disappointment, wasn't it? Taking a small sip of the dark liquid, almost feeling sick as she watched the way it left behind a thin veil after it settled back, Star looked at the other vampire. "Is that why you can play piano and violin? I- I've heard the violin before, and I heard the piano in passing one night," she shrugged, her eyes kind, understanding, "What kind of things did they say to you?"
HE KNEW HE WAS BEING VULNERABLE RIGHT NOW, KNEW HE was showing the insides of his shell, and that was really the last thing he wanted. He didn’t want her to know everything. She was the enemy. She might bat her eyelashes with Adam, but he didn’t dare trust her with anything. He didn’t want her around— he didn’t want her around Adam. The thought made his throat dry up, his unbeating heart dropped deep within his core. A sudden sadness flashed over his expression, a yearning to just be… loved. However, Gabriel quickly composed himself, eyes lingering at the blood.
GABRIEL HELD BACK A SNARL AND COLD RETORT. INSTEAD, HE tilted the cup around to watch the glass be stained, “ I can play anything. Piano, violin, cello… ” he paused for a moment, taking a steady breath, “ The cello is my favorite, ” Gabriel admitted, “ But yes, that isn’t a record playing you sometimes hear around this place. Almost all the time it’s me. ” Yes, they wanted him to be a perfect, smart boy. The perfect only son, a golden child, one to make their family name proud. A rich musicianist family.
STAR’S NEXT QUESTION MADE HIM STILL. HIS SPINE STRAIGHTENED A little, a clear sign of a protective barrier. Fingers started to drum along the fine whiskey glass. To share such things meant it could be ammunition for this girl, but part of him knew she was being genuine. Which was why it made him a little hesitant, but he could almost hear his parents’ voices now, “ Worthless, ” he whispered, “ Ungrateful, unworthy, and then they… ” he bit hard on his tongue, “ It doesn’t matter. ”
her parted lips are still concealed by dainty fingertips as large, doe - like eyes take in the gory view surrounding her. the strong aroma of blood, reminiscent of copper, overwhelms her senses while she remains frozen. even when he narrows the space between them in an intimidating manner, she remains unfazed and shows no signs of needing to escape. instead, she raises her head to make eye contact with him.
despite potentially being in shock, she manages to regain her composure for a second as fingers are removed from her mouth and gestured towards the motionless body. " It's uh, - it's his... " whispering, she notices the blood smear on his cheek and drops her gaze. " I don't think this was an accident. There's - there's a lot of blood on every wall. "
A LITTLE LAMB IN FRONT OF WOLF WAS TRYING TO hold her ground, to keep strong, to night be frightened off. How cute. Gabriel could almost laugh at the sight, but he held it in. Instead, his cool blue eyes were looking down at her, a brow arched as if expecting for her to say or do something. What could she do? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. How lucky she was that this wolf was no longer hungry, that he had just fed.
STRONG WILLED. THAT WAS HARD TO COME BY THESE DAYS. He could admire that about her, but for now he wanted her scared. He wanted her to keep quiet. He could simply kill her so she wouldn’t go crying to the authorities, but it was always fun to play a little before any serious actions were taken, “ If not an accident… ” a hand reached up to clear the blood that was on his cheek, “ Then what do you think happened? ” his head tilted, a mock concern painted his expression.
𝖉𝖆𝖛𝖎𝖉 𝖚𝖘𝖚𝖆𝖑𝖑𝖞 𝖜𝖆𝖘 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖔𝖓𝖊 𝖎𝖓 𝖈𝖔𝖓𝖙𝖗𝖔𝖑, he kept his emotions in check and didn't like to lose it in front of anyone who wasn't his family. but things were different and heightened with adam and his followers, he refused to call them a family, in santa carla. he was so 𝖋𝖔𝖈𝖚𝖘𝖊𝖉 on keeping his family safe that he was doing more to expose himself, showing exactly who mattered to him and who he would do absolutely 𝖆𝖓𝖞𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖓𝖌 for in order to keep them safe and protected. punching gabriel was act of reckless emotion, completely exposing how much he cared for anna and that he wouldn't hesistate to 𝖆𝖙𝖙𝖆𝖈𝖐 in order to keep his daughter safe.
𝖇𝖑𝖚𝖊 𝖊𝖞𝖊𝖘 𝖓𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔𝖜 𝖆𝖘 𝖌𝖆𝖇𝖗𝖎𝖊𝖑 𝖙𝖚𝖗𝖓𝖘 𝖙𝖔 𝖍𝖎𝖒, unfazed by the way his eyes flicked that familiar yellow - red for a brief moment, gloved hands clenching into fists as he stood his ground. if gabriel had 𝖍𝖚𝖗𝖙 anna or any of his family, there would be nothing that could save him. david was done playing around and acting nice, he should've 𝖐𝖎𝖑𝖑𝖊𝖉 them all the moment they dared to step foot into santa carla . . . or at least killed one of them to make it known that santa carla belonged to them. is that how max stayed in control all these years? or had max held enough 𝖕𝖔𝖜𝖊𝖗 on his own to deter people from the town? power that he did not yet possess at all and it was clear to everyone who thought they could just come into town and do whatever they wanted, " if you lay a hand on her, or any of my family, " he threatened, voice remaining soft and calm all whilst he spoke, " you will regret it and you will suffer for it, "
HOW EASY IT WAS TO GET MOST IN A STATE OF exposure. It was mostly those in a state of calm, but had a rage within their bellies that couldn’t wait to be unleashed. It appeared Santa Carla’s head vampire wasn’t as controlled as he should be. A shame— a waste. Just the idea of Adam and Gabriel moving in with a new hotel was proof enough. Right under his nose. He had too much of an open heart which was why it would be his downfall.
GABRIEL WAS ALREADY FORGETTING THE FACT THAT DAVID PUNCHED HIM. Protective in nature, he was looking out for his family. Still, Gabriel's thoughts were on the little redhead that slipped from his sight. She seemed to be someone he was very worked up about. So, a younger sister or a daughter was what Gabriel gathered she meant to him, “ What type of monster do you think I am? ” a rumbling from his throat, a sound of something similar to a purr, “ Why I was simply offering her a free meal, ” he paused as he tried to think, “ Oh, her name was Anna, right? Hm, she does smell like you. I gather you changed her? ”
