I will try to be brief;
"Edelweiss Reed, Edel for short. He grew up in Greywater and is the third child of Howland Reed out of four.
While Edel's brother, Dandelion, goes off to Robb's war; Jojen, Meera, and Edel go to the Winterfell dinner and stay until Theon arrives to invade.
Following the events of the book, Edel ends up at the Dreadfort with Theon, both being taken as hostages. He was dragged along with Theon as a consequence of staying to wait for his siblings to come for him.
He meets Ramsay. He initially doesn't care much about Edel's presence because it has nothing to do with his main objective. But, the little importance Edel gave to the situation and how nervous he got with Ramsay in front of him, is what caught his attention. It wasn't nervousness from fear, but rather from admiration and/or desire…
Their interactions are a bit toxic and aggressive, clearly, but Edel gradually submits more to Ramsay and starts to yearn for it. The relationship becomes addictive, to the point where Dandelion goes to look for his siblings, but when he arrives at Dreadfort for Edel, Edel tells him he's fine where he is, and that Ramsay "isn't as bad as he seems."
Basically, neither of them can leave each other because they both need each other. Ramsay needs Edel because he lets him do whatever he wants and enjoys it; he's like a little toy he's exploring. And Edel needs Ramsay because he doesn't judge him for being weird and he feels desired, unlike how he lived in Greywater, where having Greyscale made him seem inferior.
In Greywater he had a history of weird behaviors and rumors besides his Greyscale, these were mostly about his orientation, he was also judged for his height, his cowardice and other things; he was considered abnormal. He was the freak of the family.
Ramsay is Edel's "safe space" that he was not given in his own home..."
Sorry i am not a writer so it is very iffy haha, in the future it gets more dynamic between these two, which is where most of the drawings are set in timeline; 3 or 4 years ahead of these events!
