"So everyone here is a ninja?" Spike glanced around the room, no one looked particularly ninja-like. But then again he wasn’t exactly sure what a ninja was supposed to look like. “Must be a lot of work to teach this many people martial arts and stealth. You must be pretty tough to become head honcho so young…" Spike looked down at his bowl and began to devour the ramen and meat, glancing up at Gaara every so often. “So are all the villages like this?"

Gaara nodded. "Most of them anyway. As for being tough, I would say that we all learn at a very young age. Most gain their skill through said years." He replied to the bounty hunter. "I became this way because of my skill."

"Ah alright…" Spike nodded and turned to the bowl, taking it from the man and snapping open a pair of chopsticks. Then he turned slowly back to Gaara “Wait. What do you mean a ninja thing?" Surely that had to be a joke, or a slip of the tongue. There was no such thing as ninjas anymore, right?

The bounty hunter glanced back at the man behind the counter. “Yeah, thanks."

Gaara showed off his headband. "This is a village of ninja, Spike-san." He replied. "I'm their leader.. The most powerful of them, so to speak."

"But if they’re large and everyone knows about them… What’s hidden about them?"

Spike didn’t get this place at all, everything seemed old fashioned and strange. At least the food smelled good, hopefully it would taste just as good.

"It's a ninja thing." He explained. The food finally served, the man behind the counter smiled. "Any guest of the Kazekage is a friend here!" he said with a smile.

"Yeah? Sounds like a guy with good taste." Spike gave a nod of approval as he placed his order. “Never heard of him, so I take it there are lots of these ‘villages’ around here?" Though to be honest, they seemed far too big to call villages.

"In all honesty, they are hidden villages. This is Suna--Village Hidden in the Sand. All villages are quite large." He explained. "Naruto Uzumaki lives in the Village Hidden in the Leaves..."
