Anxiety / Panic attack?
Breathe in sync with this gif to help your nervous system settle down and your heart rate slow. Breathing is the most important thing to do to get yourself out of an attack. It’s very hard to maintain a normal breathing pattern mid attack. So if you or someone you know suffers greatly from them, keep this saved in your “Likes”. It really helps me.
And just a small message to all you anxiety sufferers - You are far from alone. Statistics say that 1 in 4 people experience anxiety.
I will one day make a full, detailed video on anxiety. But for now I’ll simply share this as well as my #1 remedy for an attack -
Talking. Not about the attack but just talking in general. I personally give my mom a call as I have a very close relationship with her. But if that’s not the case for you then give your best friend a call. Even if it’s late at night, I assure you, if they’re your friend they will be far more pleased that you came to them than ticked off that you woke them up.
I don’t even talk about the attack itself, that just brings more attention to it. Instead I get them to talk to me about their day. Regardless of whether or not it was an eventful one for them. Hearing about how normal their day was, and hearing how calm and fine they are reminds my brain I’m fine as well. It’s not an instant fix, there’s no such thing as an instant fix for an anxiety/panic attack. But it certainly pulls me out of them a lot quicker than anything else I’ve tried.
