for a solid year now I have been tormented by the question of which type of fangs the bloodsuckers vampires will have. I drew Stevie with canine fangs in chapter 1 and it haunts me. if I decide otherwise, I'll have to go back and change it. I love the 2nd incisor fangs, they seem more practical and that's what they have in the lost boys. but the canines are just classic. its a huge decision.

I'm going to start using this blog again. I have been very busy moving states and trying to get a fucking job.

I'm currently working on both drawing chapter 2, writing the next 4 chapters, and getting a Comic Fury page set up. That's where the comic is going to post from now on once chapter 2 is ready. I'm going to use this blog to post progress updates I think, along with my Instagram.

End of Chapter 1/Going Forward!

That’s a wrap for Chapter 1! I completed this chapter as my senior thesis in May of 2025, working in a bit of a fever between and around my other classes as I finished out my two majors. I first had the idea for Bloodsuckers Anonymous in 2023 while sitting in class. I had just watched Fight Club for the first time and was doing an assignment that had me design a book cover for Dracula, my eternal love. Bram emerged to me from that as a vampire in group therapy, sitting uncomfortably with his name tag on and a splatter of blood. He didn’t even have his mullet at that point.

I was so busy with school that I wasn’t able to really start the project until I decided to finally do some serious work on it for my thesis almost 2 years later. It’s the longest comic I’ve ever made, since first dreaming of being a comic artist since I was 12 years old. I’m still kind of amazed that it’s real and that people can read it. And it’s nowhere close to done yet!

But that’s all a story for later. I’m making Chapter 2 right now, although I’m not as far as I’d like to be. Life got in the way a bit between graduating and now.

In the meantime, you can follow me on Instagram @bodybog_ (my primary platform) to see other art, zines, more short comics of mine, and updates as I start to put Chapter 2 onto paper. I’ve decided to continue posting chapters 1-5 (Book 1) as a webcomic on Tumblr and possibly other platforms (on its own website, Tapas, and things like that). Once Book 1 is finished I’m going to print it either independently or possibly through a publisher. We’ll see! This is my first long-form comic so I’m just along for the ride right now, learning as I go and taking advice from some of my comix peers who have more experience in the industry as independent artists.

Between now and when Chapter 2 will start going up, I’d like to do something with this blog rather than letting it sit. Maybe I’ll post related art/development etc, maybe I’ll fulfill my dream from when I was 12 of having an OC ask blog. Let me know what you would be interested in seeing!
