âMy studies into cross breeding pikmin has stumbled upon a breakthrough! By cross pollinating a germinating pink sprout with a white pikmin, I have managed to successfully grow what I am coining âpale pink pikminâ. These pikmin show the airborne traits of their pink ancestry but rather than using wings these bizarre creatures have a gas bladder that rapidly fills with a toxic gas substance, and making them lighter than air. While airborne, the pikmin become very volatile - especially in the presence of hostile wildlife. The pale pikmin seem happy to give up their life to protect the rest of the colony. Note : use sparingly.â

A continuation of these lil guys I made last night! I'm not sure how many Pikmin fans follow me but I had SO much fun doing this.

Among the groves of the Pinelands, old jars and cooking pots sit seemingly abandoned in the faded grass. In fact, these are the shells of the Yamayaga, shadowy spirits who lurk among the trees looking for residence in forgotten knick-knacks and dropped belongings.
As these spirits grow older, they look for bigger and bigger vessels. Large groups of the creatures occasionally meet up for a âyama marketâ in secluded clearings, trading trinkets amongst themselves and clucking happily the whole time. When their age reaches the hundreds they tend to form a symbiotic relationships with a local witch, inhabiting their entire home and creating a Babayaga, a magical duo who are not to be trifled with.
While still young, some witches will keep a brood of Yamayaga - firstly get to know the spirit that might inhabit their cottage, but more importantly to harvest their delicious eggs. Speckled yama eggs on toast are unmatched!

Hereâs a short extract:
âŠMy eyes drifted, bored, and I found myself staring out of the window across a low cobble wall, and into a graveyard. Macabre, I know, but as rainy as it was, it looked calm â tranquil, even. Over the rows of headstones and crosses however, at the very back, was a tree. I donât know how to explain this⊠feeling I had while looking at this tree. Like the feeling of the floor slipping beneath you as you wade out to sea, or the ground you are standing on ever so slightly shifting as you peer over a cliff. An immediate sense that, in that instant, I was in danger. The tree was pale, so pale youâd think it was chalk or marble, and I couldnât help but notice the two trunks that crested from the earth as my mind raced in a sudden and unprompted panic. Then Graham was back, his arm clapping me on my shoulder and in all honesty, scaring the living shit out of me.

Hereâs a short extract:
The steps were slippery, coated in a thin layer of⊠something. Like algae, a translucent green layer of slime. Now that I think about it, though, there was a noticeable lack of spiderwebs for somewhere that had been empty for so long. It felt as though it took forever to get down those stairs, one at a time with a hand on the wall in case I did end up slipping. The big grey stones were rough under my fingers, not worn smooth by weather like the ones that made up the outside of the house. The basement was pitch black beyond the light of my torch. But the darkness seemed to be⊠moving. Like hundreds of insects moving and writhing over one another..

Hereâs a short extract:
For a moment I froze, the hum of the neon tubes and electric whir of the lights the only noise besides my pounding heart. I looked behind me, the circular room doused in shadows and the smell of mildew thick in the air. One of the lights flickered and from the shadows I saw something move, darting from one end of the room to the other. I stumbled backwards, and caught myself on the door. A heard a faint tapping, like claws on metal, and shakily I raised my camera. In the flash of light, I saw some hideous silhouette. Hunched and tall, the horrid shapes of nature pushed to their extreme through repeating bumps and swollen sores, long gangly limbs and cracked, dry flesh. Two eyes glinted back from the flash, staring at me. I frantically turned the handle and fell through, the door closing behind me with a click. I breathed in a sour, burning smell and felt wind upon my skin, and realised I truly must have gone mad.
