Idol au where Midoriya is a popular quirkless idol whose songs inspire and reach thousands of people around the earth meanwhile Todoroki is taking a year off before going to an art college and working minimum wage job to try and pay rent for the small, run down apartment he lives in.
The bi haired boy is absolutely obsessed with the pop idol, he listens to his songs all day and has his whole apartment decorated head to toe in merch. Ever since he first heard Dekuās debut song āAll men are not created equalā years ago, heās long since decided that heāll live his own life the way he wants to, the idols continuation of songs just fuelling him along.
He works in the back of a recycle shop, taking in donations from donors and sorting them onto the right cart. Heās a good fit for the job since people would have heavy boxes and items that he needs to lift by himself and due to his past training with his father, heās more than strong enough to deal with it. His co workers know of his admiration and crush on the green haired idol so whenever one of his songs comes up on the radio they turn it on full blast and try to get Todoroki to jam out to it with them.
After the long wait Deku finally announces heās having a concert in his home town, Musutafu, and Todoroki, the ever loving fan, is more than thrilled. As soon as the announcement comes out he immediately books a seat for one that his budget would allow.
The concert had a big turnout as expected and all the rest of Dekuās fans bouncing around with joy before the show began just bumped up Todorokiās excitement tenfold. Even though he didnāt know Deku personally, he felt very proud and happy at all he was able to accomplish.
The wait for the idol to appear on stage felt like torture, nearly dragging on for what felt like forever, but when the platform to the stage started to rise and the rays of light took their positions as the first chord started to play Todoroki could feel the corner of his mouth twitching upwards. The day he had awaited since he first heard the boy sing was finally here.
He could recite each song word for word as they play through the stadium, their meanings falling to the back as all the edgy, trauma filled boy could focus on was the soft tone and beautiful pitch Dekuās voice reached. Hearing it live could be argued a better experience than hearing it for the first time. Here it was raw, just his voice proudly on display for everyone to hear. No chance of autotune or some sort of patch the record company slapped over it.
Todorokiās demeanour on the outside may have looked like a grumpy emo teen who couldnāt care less, but on the inside he was dying with excitement, heart beating a thousand miles per hour.
As he watched the green haired teen smile brightly and dance around the stage as a way that claimed it as his, he knew that he had definitely found the right one to admire. Deku truly was amazing.
Iāve had this stuck in my head for a while, thereās a lot more to it but asdfghjkl, here you go, what do you think?
