hi. i was just wondering, did you watch the new legends of monkey series?

If you didn't, I highly recommend it. If you did, what are your thoughts on it?

I recently watched first season! Sandy with Pigsy is goated here they keep my focus with their humor lol (Im also a big fan of fluffy hairs soooo, Sandy fr fr stole my heart). Shortly, I enjoyed this show, depite some script problems!

But the way how jttw fans met it....eeeeeeeeh, at one hand I can understand it's very different story from original, very westernizied blah blah....but at another hand we have stuff like Demon Strike Back, Hero comes back etc etc that people love. I think people should chill out about this show and give it a shot. You're or hate every adaptation that do different stuff than book or accept every adaptation in the way they are. Just keep in mind that it's a show that got inspired by another show.

Tho, I still enjoyed first season! It became more fun when whole team get together! honestly all adaptation become fun when team finally group up-

Overall, I think script was the main problem - it need more polishing, more edits etc. Some moments was too quick, other was WAY too slow. I think it's also should had put more clear info in 1 episode, I became very confused of the time place of the story (thank for people on discord to clearing it up for me <з). This overall can spook people (and it did)

Moving to the characters....how I already said script have some problems including character development parts (my main problem was mostly with female cast, but honestly it's a global problem in movies--). Or maybe I'm just salty when it comes to this theme? I'm not really sure!

Interaction between main cast was fun! I love how it's like a small tradition in adaptation to put them together AND IMMEDIATELY make them act like annoyed, sick of each other family! IM HERE FOR IT YEEEEEEEEEE

And what is kids without some rival/enemies/love interests to make it interesting.

I will say that this AU really aligns with the 1996 Journey to the West TV series because these kids are from that show!

On the bottom left is BooBoo's enemy/LO.... Mime! (real name is Wenxue because he is a librarian off the clock).

And on the bottom right is Aiai (real name Fengwen) and he is called that cause he uses AI art but gets 'redeemed' later. And Aiai is actually the son of The Long Armed Ape, SPECIALLY from the 1996 series, because he is a big villain in the second season.

So Wukong REALLY hates Aiai's dad but the joke is that he don't know that Aiai is his son. Geo doesn't like Aiai cause he is pushy and annoying and uses ai art which is always wrong. But Aiai isn't good with boundaries or knowing when to LEAVE HIM ALONE which leads to a begrudging tolerance.

Fun fact is that Aiai get his nickname because of Geo, who try to bully Aiai for ai

MEANWHILE Aiai likes his nickname and kinda leave it officially cus he don't even realize that Geo trying to bully him here and think its something nice😭

Mime meanwhile no one knows this but Mime don't really is mute, HE CHOOSE TO BE MUTE.

Funny part is we had a joke that Wukong have face blindness (I dont even remember why lol) and Booboo kinda take it from him 😭. SO HE LITERALLY CAN'T TELL MIME OUT OF COSTUME AND IN COSTUME. HE THINK ITS TWO DIFFERENT PERSON

I can't believe we have made it this far! But here is Jnana and Bobo's kids! Yes they get married and then they have twins! On the left is Booboo (his nickname but his real name is Chuikong) and then on the right is Geo (his real name is Zijing for amythest).

Booboo takes his name after his Grandpa Wukong, he is a macaque like Jnana but has Bobo's coloring! Geo is a mandrill like his dad but he is albino like Jnana (kinda)! Geo is the older twin and Booboo is the younger twin!

Also yes Booboo is a clown.... don't quite remember how that happened but he is happy so that is all that matters.
