Discord PSA 07/25/2024

If you get a message from a friend telling you that a claim was made on your account that could result in a ban DO NOT engage with it. I unfortunately did and have lost access to my old account. Here is a screenshot that a real life friend sent me after I lost it of what it was sending him. If you see the username sherrisupport55 popping up in the message do not message them. It's a whole lot of back and forth of nothing with it ending saying you have to send them $150 to verify you've done nothing wrong. Unfortunately I didn't question the validity of this until it got to that point and I refused to send the money, but I had already changed my email to what they told me to (big red flag, I now know discord will never have you change your email for support reasons). I've already gone through actual discord support and detailed the scam step by step in hopes they can shut this down as quickly as possible. Please learn from my mistake and keep yourself safe.
