concept: 6 women of various ages in an old house by the sea on the cliffs of dover, uk. they appear to be living together in isolation as some kind of unit. the relationships between the women are explored at length through group shots, solos, and everything in-between. frames are cinematic with a mix of color and black & white shots: domestic scenes, ambience of the white cliffs, gray beaches, autumn. zero “modeling.” the women are either interacting or alone or somewhere in-between: arguments, voyeurism, intimate romance, ceremonial group gatherings–a psychological drama. are they a family? on a retreat? a bed-and-breakfast? a cult?
