𝖑𝖔𝖈𝖆𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓: the jade chimera
𝖋𝖔𝖗: everyone!
the only movement sign of life emanating from the small, obsidian building was a singular light, flickering in the window nearly invisible under the wind-beaten walls and temperamental alaska weather. a worn wooden sign creaked on its iron-posted resting place, a singular green chimera stamped upon it, the paint already chipping away. inside sat zoya suksai, amazonian among a row of a glass display cases each illuminated with some sort of witch-light bobbing precariously over its heads. she tapped a pointed heel against the ground, face pursed curiously. she could feel the rush of air on her back as her door whipped open. without raising her head she spoke, tone cool and exacting. “don’t touch that.” the object in question a many-faced mask mounted at the wall parallel to the entrance. “i’m inclined to think it should steal a part of your soul if you’ve come in here to dupe me.” her head tilted back so feline she may have been a pouncing panther. “that is if you still have one. my customers are many and sundry. don’t worry. i don’t judge.”
a little laugh falls from his lips, fingers merely inches away from the thingamabob, his finger teases a little, hovering closer and closer before pulling away to snap together. “ i’m not very good at doing what i’m told. ” he smirks, shoving his hands in his pockets as he saunters forward, eyes flittering from one object to the next. “ selin demirci sent me, ” he says as he crouches down to peek at one of the memorabilia below his eye line, head tilting the slightest in childlike curiosity. “ she wants one of those purple things, with the spiky thing on the sides. in total truth, i didn’t really listen. but i hope you are already familiar with what my mother is after. ”
