Welcome! This is my lolita/jfashion blog. I have been wearing lolita since August of 2021, my favorite themes are marine animals, cats, damask patterns, and green! :p

I love Metamorphose, BTSSB, Innocent World, and Dandy Puppeteer. I'm primarily sweet, but I do partake in a little classic or gothic from time to time.

Frilly friday : random fridays I go thru lolita tags and queue 1 post every 10 minutes for an hour, usually 3-4 ET. I put my thoughts in the body of the rb instead of the tags. I don't always have the energy to respond to messages but this is my way of trying to help the current lolita community on tumblr remain active, as I really appreciate those who post on here. Tumblr is my fav platform and I don't use Instagram on FB so doing what I can to try and keep this a place where people are recognized for their efforts and personal touches to their stylings is important to me

Stuff like this always makes me remember how sensationalized the “hide your kids, hide your wife” video was, also known as the “bedroom intruder meme” 🗿.

The guy was clearly one of the earliest memes of a black person expressing frustration publicly (it was a news report of the man explaining how he’d run off a predator trying to rape his sister by the way) but in a “funny way” (the way that nbs and whites find entertaining at least because they don’t see black trauma as something that should be given grace, and shown empathy right from the very start over their own intial enjoyment because that’s no fun), and something like this became a huge joke. Like, this meme was literally everywhere in the early 2000’s, and I think people forgot that his sister was almost raped 🧍🏾‍♀️…………………………..!

Forgot to mention just in case people start acting stupid oh this post if it randomly blows up (I’m not popular here so I might be free 🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀) but the bedroom intruder meme was turned into music, merch, the brother was even on tv shows, and tbh, I personally never cared if poor black folks decide to capitalize off of a meme that made them viral to change their situation. It’s better they get something out of it because whites and nbs are laughing anyway, while making their money off of black trauma. That’s how it always is with these memes. It’s awful.

“Do it scared” “do it alone” are all great tips, but my biggest takeaway from therapy is do it messy. This is especially true if you’re getting out of a burnout, which I experience often. Literally just do it messy. You don’t need to pick the perfect trail to walk, the perfect playlist to listen to, whatever the fuck it is. You don’t need to have a meticulous to do list and wake up at the exact time you planned and drink the exact amount of water you planned to drink. Like the biggest thing for people like me to remember is sometimes it’s okay to do it messy. Put on a random yt workout and just get it done in sweats. Do 5 minutes of a daunting task and go from there. Sometimes just getting up is a win during intense burnouts or depressive funks. Literally just do it messy.

waking up two hours early for my job as a gacha character to put on my three discrete hair ornaments, four layers of clothes, eight-square-inch armor plates affixed to my clothes at random, various ribbons and straps that do nothing but encircle my thighs/upper arms, choker, and multi-layered gloves. however I forget to affix dangling tassles everywhere and am sacked immediately for my carelessness

A selection of lolita and lolita inspired outfits from over the years. I left lolita because I found the community to be really, really negative and bad for my mental health (it was way to easy to use /c*g*l/ to emotionally harm myself) but I still really love the look.
