> SHE  WASN’T  WATCHING  EITHER.     jennifer’s   mind   was  _ always_   focused   somewhere   else,    mostly   in **  her   cases,**    thousands   of   details.  _  the   paperwork _  in   her   hands   was   enough   to   keep   her   from   watching   her   surroundings   as   she   walked   in   the   middle   of   the   busy   city.     the   sudden   bump   on   her   shoulder   certainly _  caught   her   off   guard,  _  and   she   almost   drops   her   files.    usually,    her   response   would   become  _ DEFENSIVE,_   but   this   guy   was   on   his  ** lucky   day. **   everything   seemed   to   be   going   quite   well   for   her   today.       “ah,   no   problem,    please,    it’s   alright, ” **      the   woman   assures   him   with   a   gentle,  _  friendly_   smile,    both   hands   holding   tightly   to   the   folders.        “ i   should   be   watching   where   i’m   going,    my   apologies   …   i’ve   lived   in   this   city  FOREVER,    i   should   really   know   better_!**_ ”

kurt was ready to turn and walk away but then his yellow eyes caught a glimpse of green skin. green. his head moved upwards to make eye contact with the green woman, his body almost feeling slightly at ease someone who wasn’t or looked like a human. “ y-you’re.. green ?! “ he exclaimed as if she didn’t already know that herself, he was just not used to seeing other people like him, let alone someone being so outwards about it. “ how.. how aren’t you scared? “

Karolina felt nearly at home in New York, California was a pretty busy place itself. Even bumping into people wasn’t an issue to her. “It’s okay,” she laughs, smiling gently and trying to meet the man’s eyes even as he tore them away. “Hey,” she reaches out, “are you okay? You’re not hurt, right? You seem a little….uh…startled maybe?” Out of place, more like.

the blue mutant could feel the young girls eyes on him as he awkwardly stood there, hat too low to be considered normal. the flight instinct wanted to badly to be kicked in and have him sprint away but he knew that would just cause much more trouble in a place filled with so many people, this wasn’t a forest he could disappear into. “vhat? - no ! “ kurt replied with a shake of his head. “ i’m fine.. just... not used to cities. “ he added as rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

the one thing billy hated about the city was how fast it moved. everyone seemed to be in a hurry and while he’s guilty of rushing down the sidewalk, adrenaline pumping through his veins as he tried to get from point A to point B, it’d be nice to slow down a bit. take a deep breath and relax. he often attempted to do so while walking, letting his body move on autopilot and is mind wander. which was what he’d been preoccupied with - his thoughts stuck on an ad he’d seen earlier - until he was knocked out of it, literally. “no worries, i wasn’t paying attention,” he said soothingly, turning to look at the bundled up person who was apologizing. he wasn’t very good at reading people, but he understood body language pretty well. “hey, are you okay?”

the blue mutant’s memories of being persecuted were fresh in his mind which made everything about the city ten times as scary as it already was. the thought of someone exclaiming he was the devil and gathering a crowd in this place made him shiver with fear. he shouldn’t of left the other x-men, he should of stayed put but his curious nature got the best of him this time. it was definitely way too warm for him to be wearing mittens, a coat and hat but it was the only way he felt semi-safe in this large city. kurt was ready to speed away from the young boy he’d ran into but they kept things going. “ i’m-i’m fine.. just cold. “ he replied wrapping his arms over his chest to pretend that was actually the case.

Folks were on edge these days, and Remy couldn’t really see why that was. He paid attention to all things, and as he walked down the street he saw Kurt. He waited to see if Kurt noticed anything until he felt the male collide with his shoulder. “No harm done dere.” he tilted his head “wat ya off too in a hurry?”  Remy smirked as he played with the coin in his pocket.

kurt glanced upwards as the voice that spoke sounded familiar, yellow eyes connected with red ones and his mind told him a name but no memories to go along with it. remy. it was one of the mutants he’d met when he joined the x-men. “ i vas just going for a valk but... this place is so large, i got lost. “ the blue mutant replied as his eyes went to the ground once again.

new york city frightened kurt. he grew up in small villages having a nomadic life, only really seeing the deep country side of europe. the large buildings, loud large crowds and speeding cars made him feel overwhelmed. the blue man kept his body covered as much as he could, wearing a trench coat, gloves and a hat that tipped forward just enough to cast a shadow. his tail had been tucked into the back of his pants under the coat but it made it’s way free without him knowing, swaying near the ground behind as he walked. his yellow eyes were trained on the ground, too scared to make eye contact with anyone which caused him to collide into someone’s shoulder. “ i am so sorry !! i vasn’t vatching... i’m very sorry !! “ he exclaimed, head still down.

╰ ° [ TYLER POSEY, TWENTY-SIX , CIS-MALE, HE/HIM. ] seems like KURT WAGNER didn’t survive thanos’ snap. what does this mean for the future of NIGHTCRAWLER? hopefully their +POSITIVITY, as well as their -NAIVETY will keep them sane through it all. and who knows? maybe KITTY PRYDE could be the key to undo this reality. ( REMY, 20, HE/THEY, EST )

hey this might be a smidge sad-ish so heads up !!

basically at this point, kurt only remembers the bad stuff that happened in his life so yay !!

he remembers his childhood in the circus, being treated like an animal, something to make money from and he remembers the day he ran away when the circus master decided to kill him since he wasn’t making enough money for him anymore. 

he also remembers having to kill his step-brother after he went crazy with power and killed a bunch of kids which prompted the towns people to think he was the devil and it was him who was the murderer of the children. 

he remembers being saved by the professor twice, the first being from a church fire and the second from the mob that claimed he was the devil. he remembers meeting the x-men and being introduced to his new home in america but thats it. 

he remembers his teammates but the relationships they had from years of fighting and living together don’t click in his mind. he still sees them as strangers, he feels like an outcast again. he can feel that there is supposed to be something there but his mind just won’t let him see those memories and it frustrates him a lot. 

he is very much reliving a lot of the fear he had when he first came to america so he’s a bit more on the timid side compared to his usually bubbly and prankish attitude. he is basically like mentally 19 rn cause thats all he really remembers up to rn !!
