Tired eyes gazed upwards at the myriad of stars dancing across the ceiling, bathing the hospital room in a calming, blue light. Rachel breathed a low, contented sigh, curling tighter into the warmth of Chloe’s arms. Her injured arm laid still across Chloe’s waist. The position kept it steady, and Rachel planned on keeping it that way for a good while.

❛ No. Leave them, ❜ came Rachel’s quick reply, head shaking softly against Chloe’s side. ❛ And… stay, please? I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep without you here, Chloe. ❜

A SMALL SMILE TUGGED AT CHLOE’S LIPS , if rachel wanted her there for the entire night then so be it , she wouldn’t leave her side , no matter what. she’d been through so much the past few days , what with being STABBED & losing any chance of contacting her mother. chloe rested her chin on top of her head , gentle blue hues focused on both her girl & the S T A R S that lit up the room. ❛ — i’m not going anywhere. ❜ for the first time in a long time , chloe finally felt like everything was going to be okay. ❛ i promise. ❜ she resisted sleeping , she wanted to hold onto the moment for as long as she could. time was fleeting , god knows how much of it they had left together.
