He watched as she left, her long hair fluttering in the wind. Hair that smelled faintly of shampoo.
She was still focused on the phone screen, much to his delight. This was proving to be a very smooth operation. The Saviour would be pleased, no doubt. With this, the RFA would soon be invited to Paradise, while he would finally have his revenge on Luciel Choi.
The mere thought of that man’s name left a bitter aftertaste in his mouth, and his eyes narrowed into a glare, fists clenching tightly at his side.
Soon. All this would happen soon. He just needed to be patient.
And that girl…
His lips curled up at the corners ever so slightly, his gaze focused on her diminishing figure as she weaved through the crowd of people towards the subway. She looked so innocent earlier as she thanked him, just like a little lamb. As brief as it had been, he could still remember the sound of her voice. Sweet, beautiful… Perfect. What he would do to bring her to Mint Eye right now.
…But that would have to wait. In the meantime, he would have to send her to the wolves’ den that was the RFA. Tch. The thought unsettled him greatly. If they dared to corrupt his little lamb… There was going to be hell to pay.
He tightened his grip on the phone in his hands, as he caught the last trace of her figure disappear into the crowd completely.
Well, about time to get this party started, hm?
