The only thing I can think about now is like: what if a few years after their child passes away, they are cleaning out the house or something and suddenly Eijun finds something that used to belong to them, like a small piece of clothing or a toy, and he just stops everything he’s doing, just staring blankly at the tiny little thing in his hands. Kazuya notices he’s gone quiet (which is weird because Eijun is always loud) and calls him from the other room with concern, getting no answer. Leaving whatever he’s cleaning, he goes to the other room where Eijun sits with his head bowed over the child’s thing and immediately feels his heart drop to his stomach. He calls out to him again, but Eijun just continues to stare blankly so Kazuya slowly walks forward and sits down next to him and putting his arms around. only then Eijun starts to cry silently, Kazuya following shortly after.

They don’t get anymore cleaning done that day.
