Witch tip!
No crossroads near you? Busy roadways and too much pavement?
Stand in a doorframe. You're in the threshold, work from there. Close your eyes, sit, it will take a while but it will work.

Witch tip!
No crossroads near you? Busy roadways and too much pavement?

Many people think witchcraft starts with spells, but historically it started with observation. Knowing when turtles nested, when certain flowers bloomed, or how streams changed after rain helped people understand the rhythms of the land. That knowledge became folklore, seasonal celebrations, and eventually magical practices. And it’s still very helpful to learn these things. Go outside today and observe something about where you live. Write it down, then go observe that same thing tomorrow or next week, and write down any changes. This is how you can begin to flow with the rhythms of where you are.
tiny money jars worked immediately that it scared me :')
ingredients
bay leaf (abundance)
white rice grains (prosperity)
salt (cleansing, protection)
thyme (purification, protection)
moonstone (manifestation)
white quartz (amplifier, cleansing, protection)
i sealed the top off with a green paper and used green ink to write my sigil (amplification), then tied it off. all the ingredients used are just things lying around the house. one of them is placed on my table where i work, and the other is something i can bring around.
i used a lot of protection symbols because i realized that there are so many ways to earn money if you trade off your peace, energy, and integrity. i could be hired into a good-paying job that takes advantage of me, come across opportunities to steal from others, or get a high-paying client that disrespects me – those are things i didn't want to happen.
cleansing motifs are to clear up the factors that prevent the spell from working as you'd like.
supporting spells. put a bayleaf with a fehu rune written on it in places where you typically put your money in (e.g., wallet, coin purse, coin bank).
im gonna soapbox for a minute but alot of new witches need to reel it in. I understand you’re excited, but you need to fact check EVERYTHING before you incorporate it into your belief system!
(context: im a lifelong pagan, and my parents have been pagans since like the 80s-90s, my dads ex wife was a lifelong and ex wifes mom was a high priestess.)
paganism now is not what paganism was when I grew up. Back then the elders could tell you something and you could more or less believe it. Unfortunately, my religion is now a trend, and we must treat it as if everyone is trying to sell you something, because they are. Most importantly:
Nothing in magic or witchcraft will ever fix something for you. You always have to do some of it yourself.
For example, if you cast a money spell you could find yourself in a new fancy job, but you have to WORK for the money. Magic can only open doors, you have to walk through them.
As well, literally everyone is trying to sell you something now. You dont need those “diy witch kits” on etsy. You dont need a million herbs and candles and statues. If thats what YOU want, and what connects YOU to your practice, by all means!! But my whole life, and every witch in my life? We mainly get our shit from dollar tree. My dads alter is kept in an altoids tin, my boyfriends alter was on his end table for the longest time, and ive always had a dedicated table for my own. The only thing you need to start practicing is intuition. The candles and wands and rocks are all just extra to boost your casting. Now are there etsy witches selling spells? Of course! And thats not bad! Using your craft to make money isn’t bad, as long as you aren’t being a price gouging capitalist about it. I saw one woman on tiktok advertising consultation for tarot readings at $100. Ive never even HEARD of a consultation for a tarot reading.
Also be wary of people in spiritual psychosis. “Watchful spirits” aren’t real. The divine feminine and divine masculine exist in EVERYONE, irregardless of sex or gender.
And finally, just stay the fuck off of witchtok. Witch tiktok is so rampantly full of misinformation and trend-craft that its frankly blasphemy to a religion i previously thought incapable of such. What ive always done is read books (my mom recommends “to ride a silver broomstick” and “the independent witch”, the classic and traditional first book in my family has ALWAYS been “everyday magic”.), or scroll old forums, frankly facebook has some good information because thats just where the elders are now. And don’t be afraid to experiment!! Ive worked with dozens of Gods and Goddesses that we didn’t end up having a lifelong path together, ive tried cleaning craft and musicmancy and right now im trying kitchen craft and garden magic, and i finally fine tuned my dreamcrafting. Ive got 23 years in this bitch and im STILL learning and experimenting!! Just please do so safely, and THOROUGHLY research before casting or attempting everything!! As well, my dms are always open for questions, recommendations, or guidance!
i dont think enough pagans talk about how ANYTHING can be spiritual.
a nice shower where i feel clean and nice is spiritual
self care is spiritual
a cool breeze is spiritual
recycling is spiritual
a made bed can be spiritual
paganism isn’t based on rules, it’s based on your connection with yourself and the earth. stop overthinking your worship and take a deep breath.
Has anyone considered this, I'm sure they have, but a little space for your inner child on the altar with trinkets your inner child would like and their own candle with favorite colors at the time. And I don't mean in the means of worship, of course, but an exercise of healing and being like: hey, I see you, always have seen you, I hear you, and you were a kid.
I've thought about it recently because my traumas come from childhood and I've often kind of ignored that side of myself. She's shown up in tiny ways recently with my Strawberry Shortcake obsession. But I don't know, I think this idea came from my internal thought process with Apollo, on healing and where that starts.
Does making a sacrifices make your spell more powerful? Yes. Does that mean you need to hurt animals or people to do it ( Including insects), NO.
Four Leaf clovers are very special to me, I've always wanted to find some of my own, Because I'm housebound because of my disability I decided to grow clover this year and hopefully grow my own four-leaf clovers. I ended up successfully growing two so far and they are my first ever naturally found 4 leaf clovers. I sacrificed one for a recent spell, And it worked fucking amazingly.
A sacrifice can be anything dear to your heart. It doesn't have to be about hurting something or taking a life.
Kitchen Witch Recipe: Lavender Simple Syrup
I remember the first time my ex-girlfriend mentioned lavender in her coffee. I was skeptical, but not for long. Lavender in my coffee is still a favorite.
On the witchy side of things, lavender is great in spellwork for peace, calm, and sleep.
Ingredients
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup dried lavender (or 4 tbsp)
Combine ingredients into a saucepan.
Bring to a simmer until sugar dissolves.
Put heat on lowest setting and let lavender steep 15-20 minutes.
Let cool and strain into glass jar.
This is great in tea, coffee, lemonade, etc.
I do appreciate those ‘do something witchy every day!’ posts, but I also think it’s worth remembering that everything we do is witchy, because we’re witches. It doesn’t have to involve candles or tea blends or meditation.
I’m still a witch when I’m elbow deep in dishwater. Sure you can use it to rinse away things you don’t want in your life, but you don’t have to. Doing the dishes is magical by virtue of the witch doing it.
I don’t know, it just feels like there’s sometimes pressure to be . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. aesthetic . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. about everything, or you aren’t doing it right; nothing could be further from the truth.
Once a witch, always a witch.
Do you think animals can spiritually follow you while they are alive? Idk if it’s because I’m high on edibles right now lol or I’m just use to my cat. I’m currently staying over at my friends house and st the corner of my eye I saw my cat (a small blur of highness 😅) and called out mochi. It always happens. Now that I’m thinking about it, it happens at home too. I swear I see my cat walking or a blur but there’s nothing there and he’s upstairs.
Idk if this all make sense lol

Saving the ashes from today to make black salt later. Even the burnt out bits still have a purpose. Balancing out the Sun and Moon energy before the week starts. 🕯️✨☀️🌙

this is so cool!!
Spring house blessing candle.
Half an orange peel
Wax of your choice (I used soy)
Cloves
Cinnamon
Rose Petals
Scrape any orange flesh remains from the peel. You can dry the peel in an oven at 180F for 2-4 hours if you want or if you are using it right away then just the fresh peel is fine.
The orange facilitates happiness and positive energy flow, cloves for protection, cinnamon for abundance, and rose petals for love.
Assemble with intention and light to fill your home with blessings and protection.
