“That... is a fair point and very unfortunate.” Stiles replied.
“I wish I knew what all the fuss was about...” she shrugged.

“That... is a fair point and very unfortunate.” Stiles replied.
“I wish I knew what all the fuss was about...” she shrugged.
Grantaire’s smile widened at her response. “A chocolate milkshake it is, mademoiselle. You speak French?”
Blue grinned, “High school taught me a little.” She happily reached for the chocolate milkshake and took a quick sip. “Are you from France?” she asked, figuring his accent was to strong to not be a native.
‘Free Tarot Readings’
a bright smile lights up freya’s face, pleased the other was so willing to explain. and she’s even more happy to realize she is already semi-familiar with the practice of fortune telling, though her ‘experience’ with such was limited to just a person in a shack in the woods giving love fortunes. this seemed nothing like that. “I’d love to! what do i have to do?”
Blue grinned, and pushed the cards towards the other girl. “First you shuffle the cards, to transfer your energy to them, what is your name?” she instructed and asked politely, before watching Freya take the deck.
‘Free Tarot Readings’
“- True... but they’re also less likely to think that it’s worth stopping for if it’s free. Like, you’d think that it’d make them go ‘oh dang, it’s a bargain’, but what it actually does is make them think your service isn’t good enough to charge them for it. Like, even if you only charged a quarter, you’d probably get more people willing to stop for you.”
Blue couldn’t help but drift off into her own thoughts as the boy babbled on about services and charges. What on earth did she want with a pocket full of quarters? “Indeed, thanks,” she nodded in what sounded like an agreeable voice, though her thankfulness for his advice didn’t quite reach her face. She took up her spoon again and dug it into the yoghurt pot, taking a large mouthful and shooting him a small smile. “So do you want a reading?” she offered through a mouthful of food before swallowing and pointing the spoon at him deliberately, “or did you really come because you like the box? I’ll sell it to you if you like?”
"Who wants to be more Californian?” He joked. “A bunch of stuff, actually.” He shrugged. “My friend moved here, then my ex-girlfriend, so I just kinda followed them I guess. Home was crazy. Lot of drama.”
She grinned, having always wanted to visit California, though on a more careful consideration, she doubted she would fit in if the tall, tanned boy was any indication of what it was like. She was fairly small in stature and the sun rarely shone in Henrietta which had left her pale as a ghost, not that she should joke about that- since one of her dear friends was one. “Sounds complicated,” she nodded, before a small laugh fell from her lips, “I hope you’re not planning on bringing the drama here now,” she teased.

Hurrem nodded eagerly, eyeing the cards in curiosity. She couldn’t say how much she trusted this particular kind of witchcraft just yet but it wouldn’t hurt to try. Perhaps, it could even shed some light on how and why she was here.
”It works how?” she wondered, looking up at the other woman. She wanted to add that though she hadn’t tried tarot yet, she was familiar with some other ways of predicting the future, but that seemed too complicated to explain with her limited knowledge of English so she stayed quiet and smiled pleasantly.
Blue smiled back, before she pushed the cards towards the woman, “You shuffle them,” she said, before pulling them back and demonstrating slowly, “like this.” The cards fell easily between her palms, before she offered them once more to Hurrem. “Then I draw the cards and interpret them,” she added, “you can ask questions about them and together we find some meaning.”
leia smiled and shook her head, it was a question that she got a lot. one she didnt mind either. ‘ no not really, when i had my first kid the first time he kicked it was weird but ive gotten used to it. ‘
Blue smiled back, but was still curious about the baby growing in the woman’s belly. She raised her eyebrows, “You don’t look old enough to have already had a child,” but shrugged with a small laugh, not wanting to seem rude so adding, “shows how much I know! ”She motioned to her right, “There’s a diner down the street, if you want some company?” she asked, her own tummy growling.

Eponine frowned, trying to read the sign scribbled on the box as she grew closer, finally stopping in front of the girl. ‘Free’ she understood, but the other.... “What is a... tarot?” She asked, tilting her head. “And why is it free?”
Blue smiled up at the other girl, it wasn’t the first time she’d been asked to explain what tarot was, and she was sure it wouldn’t be the last. Not everyone had grown up at 300 Fox Way after all, so not everyone had been raised by a family of fortune tellers. “It’s a way psychics use to tell fortunes, channelling energy to tell meaning from the cards,” she replied, shuffling the large deck between her palms in a way that might have seemed impressive, but was really just a parlour trick, “and I’m doing them for free because I’m bored.”

Mornings at 300 Fox Way were fearful, jumbled things.

Tim squinted at the sign, then shrugged. Sure, fuck it, why not? “- You know, you could probably charge for that. But I like your box.”
Blue glanced up at the guy before giving the box a soft pat, as if it were a dog. “I like it too,” she smiled, before considering what he had before that. “I could probably,” she agreed before shrugging, “but people are less likely to kick-off about the quality of something if they got it for free...”
‘Free Tarot Readings’
Plonking herself down, Nora crossed her legs as she eyed the cards with clear wonder. Somehow she imagined they weren’t anything like ‘Remnant: The Card Game’. “Oooh, I’ve heard of those~” She sang, leaning forward a little. “When I use to hop between towns, I’d see little fortune telling booths every once in awhile! I’ll try anything once!” Even if it was gross, like Ren’s lake bed smoothie.. yeah, she should probably stop trying everything once.. BUT there was no point in stopping now! “Okay, so, whatdoIdo?”
Blue couldn’t help but grin back as the girl sat down opposite her, she was so used to meeting suspicious people, people who didn’t know what they were doing here in Magnolia and had taken to wandering around like aimless zombies- struggling to work out where they fell in a hierarchy that hadn’t been created yet. “First you shuffle the cards,” she smiled, “so your energy rubs off on them. Then i’ll pick some out.”
‘Free Tarot Readings’
The cards caught her eye first, making her falter in her steps to read the words on the sign. Luckily, the Latin letters were still familiar to her from her childhood but it took her a few seconds to assign meaning to them. Tarot. Hurrem remembered the old fortuneteller at the palace and her prophecies that had come true. She remembered meeting her in secret to put a curse on Ibrahim. That witch was certainly not a fraud and though she had never used cards with Hurrem, she knew it was a popular practice in the city. If this young woman had similar talents, it might be worth her time to see what the cards would say to her.
”Free?” she said, approaching the girl. “You are kind.”
Blue had decided not to charge for the readings as a careful ploy to attract Magnolia’s residents. It seemed most of them had simply appeared in the small town, with nothing but the clothes on their backs, so offering something that didn’t require money struck Blue as the quickest way to encourage them to come and speak to her. Finding out more about Magnolia’s residents was Blue’s main aim in the offering of the cards, not predicting futures- though that she was perfectly able to do.
“It’s no bother,” she smiled at the other woman, “would you like a reading?”
‘Free Tarot Readings’
Tarot Readings. The words stuck out like a sore thumb. There was a certain lack of credibility surrounding Tarot Readings. Yet, a burning desire to prove the existence of paranormal life compelled Mulder to inch closer. Mulder’s 6 foot frame took a seat in the vacant camping chair across from the woman. A warm smile danced across the agent’s features. “You know, there are people out there who give tarot readings a bad rep but I’m willing to give it a shot. Mulder, nice to meet you.”
Blue smiled as the man approached and promptly sat down in the chair opposite her. Finally someone with a bit of intention. Intention being the key ingredient in tarot, Blue was pleased, though revealing the man’s future wasn’t exactly the reasons she’d set up the free-booth in the first place. “I’m Blue Sargent, nice to meet you too,” she replied before pushing the large deck of cards over to Mulder. “Would you shuffle the cards?” she asked politely.
“If I had to rate on a scale of one to ten just how much I’m craving some Reese’s right now, I’d have to say it’s a solid twelve.”
“I can’t say I feel the same, I’m allergic to peanuts...” Blue shrugged.
FRENCH
if anyone wants to have a crack at some French in our rps pleasssssseeee let me know! I’m a Brit in Switzerland trying my best!
Soul was a cool guy. (Or so he thought). Cool guys did not upset other people. (Which he was certain of). Soul had just upset a person. (Which was now, why, internally, he was running around flailing his arms, and externally, he pulling an interesting series of facial expressions while flailing his arms).
"Whoa, whoa! Sorry! I was just joking! You don’t need to actually buy me chips. Uh, I’m gonna buy chips anyway, so I could buy you some?” Soul motioned his hands helplessly. “I could, um, help you with your stuff? Help you move in? I promise I won’t cut anything up!”
What kind of lame attempt at humour was that???
Blue chuckled, re-arranging the backpack again and nodding. “If you can just show me where I live..” she offered, “and take me with you to the store, we can start over.” She was dying for some home comforts, in the form of yoghurt and some salty chips- not together obviously- and Soul seemed like he was an okay person, if one who didn’t think before he spoke.
Blue tilted her head to the left and pretended she had never met the guy before that moment, “I’m Blue, what do I call you?” she asked, not meaning to rhyme.
