the artemis ii mission reminds me why i love humanity so much. they play pink pony club for the astronauts. they have issues with microsoft outlook. one of the astronauts named a moon crater after his late wife. a jar of nutella just flew by. they make 67 memes because they’re big nerds with huge hearts who say that we look beautiful from there. they call dibs on sleeping arrangements and the mission specialist likes sleeping like a bat. the pilot’s daughter shows her dad off on her social media.

dunno just sometimes helps to think that we can do things like that.

Canadian. Not non-American. Colonel Jeremy Hansen is Canadian and I am asking Americans to look beyond themselves to recognize how important that is.

The United States went to the moon for the first time with Canadian technology. The ISS would not have been built without Canadian technology - the Canadarm. When there are settlements on the moon's surface, it will be because of Canadian technology - the Canadarm 3. Canada is going with you because we have always contributed to space exploration. And that's not even getting into what a political triumph this is.

The US president has threatened to invade us, has threatened to remove nuclear security, and has gone to self-detrimental lengths to try and cripple our economy. The US has been a threat to our sovereignty and our dignity. You need to really, truly understand how the US has been thought of as an annoying, but ultimately caring older brother since like 1812, and how that has so quickly turned into distrust and rage and fear here in Canada.

And despite this, we are going to the moon again together.

Here, we see this as a symbol that we can still work together! We can reach the stars because of our cooperation! It is a testament of the human will to overcome adversity for the sake of lifting us all up together.

Do you know how disheartening it is to know you don't know that?

Also. While we're here. Canada isn't the first non-Americans to reach the moon. Canada is the second nation to ever attend a lunar mission.

We’re pretty good! We have a house now, some work, and are thinking about our future. We’ve been living in a personal season of winter right now, but slowly coming out of it. We both got really into RDR2 RP in the last year or so and it’s brought a lot of good things into our lives and hopefully it will continue to!

I definitely still use the internet! Just different corners of it now. I’ve thought about getting back into content but it’s a lot of work and my life is moving in a lot of different directions now. Maybe someday! I definitely miss making comedy and making music.

Tbh I don’t know XD that was kind of Hayley’s thing, I was just reading what she wrote. But who knows maybe someday it won’t have to be the end. Just an extended hiatus.

How are things with Hayley? did you two ever get married? :3

We did! May 4th. 🥰 We’ve been living mostly as a married couple for years now, so we finally made it official (mostly bc I need insurance but also bc it was honestly time lol.)

We had a really small Star Wars/Robin Hood wedding with only our closest friends there and we went to the ren faire afterwards. It was so beautiful and truly magical. I made our outfits from upcycled clothing from goodwill and stuff we already owned so it felt personal and just so special. I have pictures if you wanna see.

We plan on having a big old family wedding at some point but for now, we’re happy.
