honestly it genuinely boggles my mind that majority of the fandom can’t see the chemistry with rina and ends up magically seeing it with portwell when they’re the most shallow ship in the entire series. all their scenes where they connect just feel like two people falling together to get over their troubles. it feels like that … because it is that.

ej’s romantic chemistry with the girls just feels very surface level. telling nini i love you in 1x01 but i didn’t feel it. the couch scene with gina but not only did it show that they were way too different (gina’s “not really” made me snort fr) but it lacked a spark. however #thee 1x05 car scene? changed lives. the slight banter in the beginning? the way gina looked at ricky after kissing his cheek and the slow way he pulled away, looking at her in shock? electric!!!!! everyone can have their own opinions on the show but if you think portwell have good chemistry or even were meant to be after they were barely acquaintances until 2x05, i’m sorry but i can’t take you seriously.

ej caswell fans always coddle him and demonize the other characters, to make people see him in a better light. have y’all just stopped to think.. ej is the one in the wrong? in both relationships he was in? how do you try to switch up a whole narrative that’s in the show, just to benefit him? like .. ej is an okay character i guess, if you like him that’s fine! your choice! but stop trying to change him into someone he’s not. making gina the villain is just a way you all found to excuse ej’s actions and lack of communication. gina did nothing wrong. stop coming for her y’all are so fucking annoying
