some facts about blackwick, the fictional region knight gray is from

located in the frigid north, crops cannot grow, animals are scarce, and the terrain is treacherous. despite this, a group of hardy mountain tribes joined together to form the alliance of fivr, referenced to the 5 sister mountains they live on.

blackwick shares its name with the tallest mountain in the region, a thin but enormous volcano covered in snow save for the very top, which is heated by the subterranean magma so that the dark rocky surface is always free of frost.

some say secret forges are buried beneath the surface of blackwick, powered by the fire of the mountain itself. but how can any ordinary human survive in such high temperatures?

a rare mineral is found only in this region, an ultra tough metal that when combined with steel becomes an incredibly strong alloy with a beautiful multicolored sheen.

the frozen lakes are home to a freeze resistant species of clam, which can absorb the minerals and create the most beautiful pearls in the world.

i whisper to you now, the way they descend into the frozen lakes to retrieve the pearls is a closely guarded secret that has been kept for centuries. murmurs of "automaton" are occasionally heard.
