Honestly I don't know much of what you're talkign about. I guess you're bringing twt drama over here.
There's tons of leslou in loustat tag because this fandom doesn't use that a proper tagging system, meaning leslouers have to go through loustat and see content they dislike and vice versa.
The point about a tagging system is that every other fandom I've been in denotes first name/last name > top/bottom b/c it respectfully filters content per people's preferences. And there's virtually no t/b discourse as a result, this fandom can learn from that.
The only time Lestat used her/she was s02e08, and that was to New Orleans, it's common to refer to places with feminine pronouns.
You like femstat, of course you can. But it's purely fanon, and people go too far trying to force it to be canon and causing discourse when others obviously disagree.
hi. so just a note that you might be right on this one since by the time I had made that post I had barely learnt about leslou (I'm relatively new to the fandom, I started watching S1 somewhere around March of this year), but as far as I'm aware there's at least *some* discourse. I usually don't divide fandoms depending on the platform so I kinda just spoke of the twt drama as fandom drama since it is technically the same fandom.
+ there has been transphobic comments about femstat, even if not common. If people prefer Lestat to be completely cisgender then that's good and idc. It's just weird that people hate on it, and it's also weird that people hate on cis Lestat. The post was kinda impulsive since I've been avoiding the fandom (haven't watched EP4) so I might be out of my depth. But Lestat has referred to himself as she/her before, even if jokingly. Called himself 'aunt', called himself a 'wolf congratulated for killing her pups', there's been a couple more scenes albeit I can't particularly remember them (and while they don't credit the headcanon as much, they're there), and I believe there's more dwelling on it, and general dwelling on gender stuff in the books. Mb for overreacting but if you ARE the same anon that called me a victim blaming cunt over a joke (and I do like Louis I'm just mean to him sometimes) then I guess we're even now
