I found this creature on my way out of work while I was walking through the campus art building on the way to the parking lot. He was sitting next to some assorted ceramics on a pedestal with the sign "free to a good home" on it.

He seemed abandoned by his creator... So much work, love, and care put into him, only to be discarded. I mean, obviously I had to take him. It would've just broke my heart to not!

I'm not really sure what exactly he is but I like imagining that he's kinda like a semi-organic robot. You can't see it from here, but his innards are all painted red. He's got that articulation in the middle like how those weird long flexible buses have got. He's missing an antenna, but I think it adds character.

His name is Zilly and he brings me endless joy.
