A tray of dried tomatoes + some peppers that I did the other day

I actually really like eating the tomatoes this way, even more than fresh, it's like big tomato-y fruit jerky. Keeps a lot longer and ships better too in case I wanted to share!

Capacitor came in today so I got to work and faced my fears and it was really easy and not a problem at all! I'm glad to have a working AC unit again.

AC unit isn't cooling lol The fan won't spin on its own after it's been shut off but it will spin after being given a push so it looks like the issue is the capacitor ($30 part), which supports both the fan motor startup as well as the compressor unit.

I'm not exactly handy so messing around with electrical stuff (especially capacitors) kinda makes me nervous but I'm also not really in the business of eating an extra +$170 cost just to have some guy come out and do it for me, and it doesn't seem too complicated...

Flashback to 2024 when I knit someone I fancied a six-foot(!) scarf for Christmas. Tall critters gotta have long scarves! It was a very simple single-color scarf with only garter stitches, but for a first time, I think it turned out well enough. It was certainly appreciated by its recipient!

You can see when I started that I accidentally increased my stitches (and was pulling them way too tightly) and I didn't care to frog it and do it all over again so I just learned to decrease and keep a better running stitch count.

Haven't done any knitting since b/c I am simply not depressed in the correct way to pursue anything especially artistic but I could if I wanted to!

Injection day! :3

Ever since I swapped to once-a-week injections near the beginning of the year my mood swings really tapered off. I'm sure there are other factors like time-distance from self-inflicted unpleasant experiences last year, but it became a lot easier to cope with those after I swapped to needles, so idk. I will say that I'm lucky I'm the kind of freak who actually enjoys being stuck with a needle, but even if I wasn't, it's still an easy recommend versus pills!

I mark my intended injection site with my bigass nails so I can keep track of where I cleaned with the alcohol wipe because I need that kind of visual reference.

Decided to actually harvest some of those big fuckers today. Rutgers beefsteaks like these are prone to cracking and seem somewhat prone to molding if you leave them for too long because of their thin skins, and that also means they don't last as long as others on the commercial market, but they certainly taste great!

Jogged in place for ten minutes after eating a sandwich and chugging the rest of a bottle of Bellini and I'm already obnoxiously sweaty and have a stitch in my belly 😅
