omg love this.. i love the idea of hilda’s family being so fascinated by how quiet and demure marianne is (as hilda also is) that they end up adoring her and it becomes the meme where the in-laws like their DIL more. but hilda doesn’t want to share… also she tells them about how marianne is mean to her sometimes and they don’t believe her 🤥

like holst giving marianne a big bear hug and marianne is just really flustered while smol hilda is like, UNHAND HER!!1

and with marianne’s adoptive father, i feel like he wouldn’t like hilda right off the bat bc of her status as non-heir and overall Hilda-ness but i believe that hilda believes she can make anyone like her. so i think they’re civil and hilda is well behaved enough to make marianne’s family visits a lot less stressful (which is what matters most anyways!).

while i did play fe3h during its peak popularity, i did tap out of the fandom pretty early on bc of the discourse and only read marihilda fic on and off until last year when something clicked in my head and made me mega obsessed with them again audhwjfjs ANYWAYS im so glad people still enjoy them!!
