running through the commune like a bat out of hell, blu moved through the space dodging people and objects alike in search of his cousin. it was pretty wild that he'd end up at the same commune as a long lost family member – but honestly, blu was here for it. they'd grown up apart, years between them and on opposing sides of the states; it really was a shame that it took them being trapped in the same city for them to meet. but hey, maybe huntsville called in the universe to make their meeting possible.
nearly bypassing the room lucy was in, blu quickly backtracked in order to greet the other, "hey cuz! what's shakin' bacon?" doing an excitable little jig as he asks the question, following it up with an easy laugh he took his time taking a few steps into the room, "so i was thinking we could go outside! maybe bring out my tie dye kit, or my art supplies... OR just hear me out here, it'd be totally rad to bring out the guitar and like... jam." nodding easily, fingers move into unruly curls in order to brush them from his face. "OOOOORRRRR we could go on a rad little walk. get outside. stretch our legs. maybe go fishing or like.... swim out to that little floaty thing in the waters and have a bonding little cuz time – you know, if those things weren't lingering around i'd even say it'd be totally rad to camp out there under the stars but uh... y'know – not ready to have death knockin' at my door anytime soon."
it had taken a little time for blu to piece together who the carpenter was so he could discuss his ingenious plan – okay, clarification – he first had some recreational fun. which easily diverted into a lengthy ADHD downward spiral of hyper focusing on his various hobbies for undetermined amounts of time. needless to say, the venture started mid morning and it was far later than he ever intended it to be when he tried to talk to lincoln, the carpenter man he'd been informed of.
then again – all areas pointed to this being exactly what blu needed. it was dark out AND no one was leaving because of the creepy crawlies that resided outside.
"oh! hey, uh! bro! dude, uh... lincoln! i was totally sent this way this morning because i have the MOST radical idea that i think you can help me with. but i kind of took a bit of a detour with my recreational goods, if you know what i mean," letting out a laugh, blu sends a hand through curls, but i finally made it, bro!" another laugh, "so i was thinking, we need a snack cart. y'know like some automated little dude that could go around the house to bring snacks to everyone... maybe like... with a remote control or something!" eyes blow wide at the revelation – excitement sparked through him at the thought for that matter.
blu wasn't lazy by any means, but there was something relatively appealing about being able to deliver snacks to yourself via remote control.
"oo! OO! and maybe we could like – have a robot that selects our snacks and loads up the delivery vehicle, y'know?!"
parson's house was everything blu had missed about the starlight commune and though he loved to travel the world with his soulmate, at least the town they suddenly couldn't leave had something right up blu's alley. at the commune he was able to spend his time doing all the recreational gardening that he wanted AND he had loads of spare time for all the art projects and activities he could dream of.
today's art project – tie dye.
even though blu hadn't seen a town as small as huntsville before, the one thing he had realized was the the lack of varying colors. for some reason, people were really down with greens and brown splotchy type fits here and he just didn't get it.
noting one of the commune members in his vicinity he immediately perked up, "oh! oh! HELLO THERE! hi, i'm totally doing this rad survey on tie dye shirts – would you be interested in helping a bro out by casting your vote? i haven't quite decided if this is parson's house worthy or not yet, y'know? but i was really trying to bring a splash of brightness into the world by making us all some tie dye and stuff,"
letting out a quick chuckle of laughter, the man scrambles to gather up a couple shirts, tossing them over one shoulder so he could display them one at a time, "okay so – i know this one is totally on the nose and all but this one i call... dedication to sunny." brandishing a sunshine swirled tie dye he waves a vanna white hand over the swirls of yellow and orange, "this next one is like WOAH, y'know?" flinging another shirt over an extended arm, he utilizes his free hand to illustrate the corner rainbow swirl, "totally rainbow. totally screaming a rad pop of color. diversity and all that." the next shirt he tossed over his arm he'd utilized the pinch method, creating a galaxy themed tie dye, "and this gorgeous beauty here is called... the universe." hand extends as the words leave his lips, though he pauses as his face falls, "wait... don't tell me – i NEED to go back to the drawing board, am i right? i bet dedication to sunny needs a sprinkling of red in there – you're TOTALLY right."

born and raised in los angeles, california to a director father and an actress mother, blu wanted for nothing. anything they ever hinted at enjoying or expressed interest in was easily accessible and given without hesitation from either parent as they believed harnessing his abilities early on would lead to great victories for their son.
childhood was filled with finer and more lavish items due to the social standing their parents expected to uphold given their ever growing status in hollywood. that meant blu got the best of everything - the best wardrobe, best toys, newest items even before they were released, and above all the best education their parents money could buy.
growing up in the montessori educational system was a place where blu flourished. they loved the freedom and opportunities the system provided and they easily learned to harness their interests through the schooling system itself... but as they got older and the curriculum for montessori ran out they were forced to move into a private schooling situation. needless to say the moment blu stepped foot in its halls they hated everything about it. the abundance of school work and significant lack of creative expression and freedom really bogged blu down and for the first time they realized – they wanted something more.
their increasing hatred for being in private school led to blu finding alternative ways to express themselves creatively and by the time they hit their teenage years he began partying and experimenting with marijuana in an attempt to fill the creative gap and love of life that they were yearning to have back. from there blu began to express themselves through their artwork – even going as far as starting a band pushing themselves further into their creative mind and embracing every whim that ever popped up in their mind.
as often as possible, blu would travel down to venice beach and sell the artwork that they'd created. whether it be paintings, sketches, drawings, sculptures – or even his tie dye t-shirts; they all sold. their charm and general golden retreiver personality seemed to draw in a crowd like moths to the flame.
on one such fateful day – blu met the person of their dreams; ulysses odyssey. forming an instant bond to the other, blu fell head over heels in love with them almost instantly. their love and friendship only flourished over time and even though uly was his one true soulmate, they exclusively decided to be polyamorous to really find their fullest potential for the experience of human life. the move was one that was ultimately fulfilling and filled with respect for one another's thoughts, choices, and decisions on every matter.
by the time blu was 19 and uly had inherited the family volkswagen bus he was itching to go on one of the many adventures they had devised together. so the option to do just that? was one easily made by blu. packing up only the necessities, his art supplies, guitar, and their grow operation they made way for the vw bus without hesitation. set for the adventure of a lifetime that could only present itself with uly by their side.
making their way from destination to destination they made money as they saw fit – selling tie dye shirts, artwork, and the occasional baggie of green as needed. just enough for them to get buy or buy any real necessities they required to continue their journey. it was a life that seemed as though it were flourishing in the correct directions – blu would follow uly to the end of the world at this rate just to enjoy the little life they had created for themselves.
as they made way for florida, however, huntsville seemed like an appropriate community to fall into – sure it wasn't normally their speed and there certainly weren't any waves blu could catch to fill the surfing void, but they always had florida to look toward for that fix; or so blu had thought. that was well over 7 months ago and blu still hadn't seen a wave. despite the itch to be beach side again, blu fell into step with uly – going with the flow and continuing to focus on the finer things in life; just as he had created them with uly.
finding solstice at the parson's house commune fell in tune with the norm for them and his knack and pension to having a green thumb really suited the gardener position he was more than willing to accept. even though this hadn't been part of their plan and the wanderlust still hit them from time to time – they were more than willing to go with the flow. clearly the universe was telling them they were needed in huntsville and blu was more than prepared to fill the town with whatever art, marijuana, or music they could have ever wanted.
