dana blinked at that reaction, a little bit surprised by it – even if perhaps she shouldn’t have been. however, after a moment, the girl just smiled and nodded. “ mm. i know you can pay for yourself but i still want to. it’s no big deal~ it’s not like you’re gonna spend a lot anyway, right? ” she joked lightly, letting out a laugh. “ okay, we have a deal then ” dana didn’t like letting people pay for her things either but it was only fair if she was buying charlotte food now. just once wouldn’t hurt.

“SO I GOTTA HOLD BACK? ‘nd here I thought I was gonna be able t’stuff myself ‘til I can’t walk anymore.” Nothing but a jest, of course. Charlotte would never bleed Dana dry like this, not even if she offered. She joined in on the laughter, face scrunching up with the intensity of it.

“Just messin’ with ya. I can hold back.” Hands still clasped around Dana’s, she tugged her with her, walking backwards. “How long’s yer practice gonna be? Maybe I’ll get somethin’ tiny now ‘nd another somethin’ tiny fer when I’m watchin’ you. Just in case.”
