So now I’m finding out that Winston knew about Swaggy’s dad dying and the reason behind the nickname, and he had the nerve to say “I’m gonna call him Chris like his father intended”

After listening to Chris’ take on how he became “Swaggy C” (which @feedsfairy posted) and how he took the pain of his life and manifested it to become almost a character for himself for him to grow (Almost like when a kid creates their own superhero to escape trauma), the name doesn’t even bother me anymore. I mean it hasn’t for a while now because it just becomes an average nickname but once you see why he did it, you honestly cannot do anything else but applaud him because he honestly could have chosen the wrong path in his life easily had he not.

And plus I find the whole “I ain’t calling him Swaggy/Who walks around with shirts labeled Swaggy C??” thing people do to be sooooo stupid because Paul in BB18 literally did THE SAME EXACT THING and he was 1) loved for it 2) gained a huge following because of it 3) had a successful business because of it 4) got tv/appearance deals from it! Chris is branding himself JUST how Paul did. Paul branded his shit with “Friendship” 24/7 and that damn floatie and he actually won AFP with how “cool” he was. Chris wears harmless shirts whereas Paul screamed friendship every hour yet Chris is getting demonized for it.

And don’t give me that whole “Chris is arrogant” argument either because it’s been proven literally every day on the feeds that he’s told by production to turn up his personality by 10 for “TV magic” whereas on the feeds he’s calm, cool, collected, and pretty thoughtful. He doesn’t even talk in third person like the edited episodes make it seem. There is nothing wrong with him.
