Well hey! My name is Emory; I’m 28, they/he. Thanks for coming to read this! I’ll try to keep it as brief as I can. This is a selective, mutuals-only, low-activity rp blog for my original character, Thomas McClain, (Tom, for short!) an ex-outlaw cowboy turned vampire, living in the modern day world.
(*Also please note that while he certainly has a verse for the olden’ cowboy days, it is NOT his default. Any interactions will automatically take place in the present day unless specified otherwise, or unless your default verse is an 'olden day' verse, then I'll default to that! )
➤ I work a full-time job, and often struggle with my mental health, as well as deal with chronic pain – I may take a long time to respond both ooc and ic because of this; I apologize in advance. It’s not because I don’t want to write or talk with you, I promise! I’m also quite forgetful in general, so don’t be afraid to nudge me if I haven’t gotten back to you in a few days time. But on the same breath, please don’t hound me for responses.
➤ Touching back on being mutuals only– in truth, this blog is only generally Mutuals-Only. Plotting and dms are reserved for mutuals only, but ask memes and open starters (unless tagged “mutuals only”) are open to anyone at all. Mutuals will be prioritized though.
➤ I'm not follow for follow, so that means I only follow those that I'm interested in writing with! I also read everyone's rules and character information before following/interacting, and expect the same from others. I won't follow those without a rules page or a finished (or mostly at least) character info page; I like to know who I'm writing with! ➤ x2) If I follow you first and you don’t follow back within a month or so, or similarly, if we've been mutuals for a long time and we've never interacted and I don't see it happening, I’ll likely unfollow just to keep my dash clean. I may also soft those who are inactive for 6 months or more (or those who post mostly only ooc) but if you come back into the fray and want to write together, you are always free to refollow and reach out!
➤ Triggers will be tagged as trigger tw. Things I need you to tag for me are ped*philia, and emetophobia (irrational fear of v*mit** For me, in example… Saying you threw up is OK, but do not discuss or describe it any further than that please. Thank you.) If you deliberately ignore or frequently forget this rule, you will be blocked and anything we have will be dropped.
➤ NSFW content will be present on this blog. However, keep in mind that the mun is asexual, so I’ll only write sexual themes with those who I’m close to or have discussed it with, and will only be written on occasion if at all. If I do, it will be tagged “ ( nsft ) “. Explicit violence, blood, gore, and death will definitely appear here given the nature of the muse and his background. There will also be mentions and talk of spousal abuse, child abuse, illness, parental death, homelessness, mental illness and disorders, suicide, and religion. These will all be tagged with a content warning.
➤ Quality over quantity. But of course, please don’t give me a sentence in return for a couple paragraphs. On a similar note, I have the tendency to ramble. So please don’t feel the need to match my length if I’ve gone off and made the thread quite long. I’ll be happy with just about anything you give in return!
➤ Ships will be based on chemistry. But if you’re interested in a pre-established thing, hmu and we can discuss it! I LOVE to ship…. so if we’re mutuals and you’re interested, please feel free to reach out and we can see if it’s possible. However, I won’t likely ship him with any muses under, say… 28? --30? (And even that may be pushing it.) He was turned when he was in his late 40’s, and was previously married with kids once before, so it would feel weird to him. He’s old! While he might spend the occasional "night out" with people between at least 20 and older, he will never be willing to enter any kind of commitment with them; these engagements are generally just for ONE night, and sometimes mostly for blood (consensually ..... you'd be surprised).
➤ I love continuing ask memes as threads and I definitely encourage you to do so if you’d like to (though it’s not necessary!) as it’s a great way to break the ice and start something in general. If you do though, I only ask that you do so on a new text post, @ my username, and possibly put it in the tags as well. I’ll like the post to let you know I’ve seen it, so if I don’t, don’t be afraid to ask to see if I have or not; we all know tumblr’s a little (a lot) funky, so I may have missed it!
➤ I don’t do drama, so please don’t involve me in it. Any passive aggressive or hateful asks or messages will be ignored and whoever it is sending it will be blocked. The anonymous feature is a privilege, please don’t abuse it.
➤ On the topic of drama, I generally don’t support callout culture, nor will I participate it in. You can certainly do what you want on your blog, but I do ask that you please tag any callouts and/or drama. If you won’t or frequently don’t, then that’s alright, but please do know that I likely won’t be interacting with you or your blog and will probably unfollow– no hard feelings. I just don’t want it on my dash.
➤ As a side note, generally I’m fine with interacting with any faceclaim… but if the fc for your character is Amber Heard, I’ll respectfully have to decline writing with your muse. I’d just rather not.
