So here we go! Lanyards!!! What are they? Well some may not have even realised that lanyards have been used for years now. And you more than likely use them everyday in your work life.
A lanyard is otherwise known as a neck strap. It basically holds items that you need to firstly look after and that you could use a lot. Can you see my clogs working now in my brain on how a lanyard can be used in everyday life to create life hacks that save us time and therefore money?
Well lets first consider the work place. Work places vary in so many ways but in my research I found a company called Lesar. They are based in Blackburn, Lancashire in England and have been providing lanyards for years. If you visit there website you can see a wide range of lanyards available from plain lanyards right through to personalised lanyards.
This really opened up a big market to me that I saw a chance for people to use lanyards and that this can eventually save them time. Now think of the hassle you have when you go to your work place and you have to enter a pin number or a code of some sort to access the building via the doors.
Now Lesar being what you would consider an expert at lanyards have a great use. This life hack would save you that time and that hassle. Basically you either get an ID card printer for your workplace and print Staff ID cards for the employees. This can be programmed in a way that you can then use the card to scan and it will give you the access to the building.
Now you may be thinking pffttt! How does that save me time? If anything it creates more hassle as I have to go into my purse or wallet and get out my staff ID card to enter the building! Where really this is where the lanyard comes into its own. By using the lanyard you can easily hang your id card at the bottom of the lanyard and just simply hold it up to the scanner to access. No need for any hassle. This serves two purposes. One that it allows you to enter the building and secondly it really helps to keep your work place secure as the lanyard holds the ID card at all times.
