yup , you’d be correct op , a bunch more actually ! there is more than the antivaxx situation :/ but i DO want to clear up the fact that travis isnt maga in anyway shape or form ( BUT there are some maga people in that band , just not travis ) and since getting told off by awg has apologized and donated to vaccine research , i do not support what he said at all though .
ok ok ill get into the other things that members have done now , member by member . PSA : some of this information may be true or may not be true as i gathered most of these facts from looking around at lj , tumblr , ancient fansites , videos , interviews and instagram , but i will be adding a disclaimer to facts im not sure are true . so take this post with a grain of salt , and to make myself clear ; i do not support what we the kings ( + most of my favorite bands ) have done at all , this post was made for informing op about them . also , i will be EDITING this post in a few hours to provide proof of things i was able to find stuff on . TRAVIS CLARK : antivaxx tweet ( what op mentioned in their ask ) , apparently said some pretty gnarly words to the bands old bassist , drew thomsen , that caused him to leave the band ? ( take this with a grain of salt , only thing i could find about this was a old facebook post from drew himself calling travis a ‘ piece of shit ‘ . ) and supposedly kicked hunter thomsen out of we the kings for grieving the passing of his father .
CHARLES TRIPPY : he hasnt really done anything from what i was able to research , he has posted an ai simpson photo of his family but looking in the caption it says that somebody else sent him that , but he is still friends with / still follows toby turner ; or to normal people ; tobuscus . i think most people on here know what tobuscus has done , so i wont be explaining what he has done and id just recommend doing your own research on him cause thats a whole other rabbit hole im not going to jump into .
DANNY DUNCAN : follows ice on instagram ( although his insta account as of right now is private ) , follows trump and a known right wing account , libs of tiktok , on twitter .
HUNTER THOMSEN : follows trump and jd vance on instagram , was apparently SUPER fatphobic in the 2000s to the point where he caused his little brother and former bassist of we the kings , drew thomsen , to get an eating disorder from the amount of times he insulted his weight ( take this with the littlest GRAIN OF SALT , i saw this fact pop up on multiple wtk tumblr blogs and fansites . )
you may be wondering , wheres coley o toole ? where is sebastian quint ? what about drew thomsen , you mentioned him a few times ? ( nobody is wondering that but anyways . ) i couldnt find anything on them , so im not going to add them with the others who HAVE done something in the past .
my conclusion : you cant trust a band from florida , and drew thomsen deserves better : (
