me (30, she/her, bisexual): a brief summary
When I say "I love romantasy" I do NOT mean fae btw. High fae and faerie realms die in 2026 challenge
sometimes writing songs is like âok specific and tight rhyming scheme, putting it in this key because itâs symbolic motif motifâ and other times itâs just âoh yeah I fucked around till I found outâ

when i was a kid i decided that killing people was bad therefore war was bad therefore the military was evil. and adults would tell me it's more nuanced than that and i would understand when i grew up. well i'm a grown up now and idk i still think that killing people is bad and war is bad and the military is evil
my art for the DBDA reverse bang (@deadbangdetectives) is here, and i'm so stoked to share it with you!
it's an around the world in 80 days historical AU!!!
i have had such a blast poring over so many fashion plates and drawing the gang in fancy historical fashion ca. 1872. it was such a joy and a pleasure from start to finish to work with the incomparable @dear-monday on this project - i really couldn't have asked for a better partner from start to finish. she saw the vision 100% and has written the most fantastic fic that i am beyond excited for everyone to finally get to read!!!
thank you so much for being so amazing, hayley! and a huge thank you to @handwrittenhello for all of your hard work organizing this event!
odyssey on odyssey, land over land (40947 words) by dear_monday Chapters: 6/6 Fandom: Dead Boy Detectives (TV) Rating: Explicit Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Edwin Paine | Edwin Payne/Charles Rowland Characters: Charles Rowland (DCU), Edwin Paine | Edwin Payne, Crystal Palace (DCU), Monty (Dead Boy Detectives), Simon (Dead Boy Detectives), David the Demon (Dead Boy Detectives) Additional Tags: Alternate Universe - Historical, Based On Around The World In Eighty Days Summary: âPack?â said Charles, trailing along behind him as Mr. Payne went charging into his own bedroom and threw open the wardrobe. He hadnât even known that Mr. Payne owned such a thing as a suitcase. âWhere are we going?â Mr. Payne emerged with an armful of clothesâexpensive, quietly lovely things in slate grey and brilliant white and fathomless midnight blue and that deep, impossible blackâand deposited them in a heap on the bed. When he turned to look at Charles again, there was a feverish light in his eyes. âDover,â he said. âLovely.â Charles wasnât sure anyone had ever been in such a hurry to get to Dover before, but perhaps a few days away from the city would be just the ticket for Mr. Payne. Poor bloke was wound so tight something was bound to go sproing sooner or later. âNice little jaunt to the seaside, is it?â âAnd then to Paris,â Mr. Payne went on. âThen to Brindisi via Turin⊠Suez⊠Bombay⊠Calcutta⊠Hong Kong to Yokohama, San Francisco, New York. Oh! And then back home, of course. We shall return by precisely one oâclock in eighty daysâ time.â âRight,â Charles said faintly. âWell. Better get packing, then, hadnât I?â

since my last ask was about music, this time I'll ask about books. any you're reading lately and if so, what are they? đ
Awww yeah I love reading. I literally am always reading, usually for at least an hour a day (usually more.)
Right now I'm reading Alison Weir's novelized biography of Thomas Wolsey. It is so interesting. I also just finished her novelized biography of Katherine Carey - 5 stars.
I had a short interlude for a graphic novel romance called To Dance the Moon and Stars. Most beautiful comic art. 10/10 putting the cover here so you can see how gorgeous it is
