One of our projects, call us for your next event! #prideparade #sandiego #imperialbeach #bocario #vwvan
Sun and Sea Festival 2017
It is that time of year again where the sun is shinning, the wind is blowing, and the beach is filled with family and friends. Imperial Beach's local event, Sun & Sea Festival, is once again approaching and Boca Rio is of course honored to be a part of the festivities. We understand at times locals are on vacation, or have to move away due to work or circumstances, but Imperial Beach will always be home. Which is why we are offering pre-orders online for those who can not make the event and for those who wish to simply pick-up and go. Many are participating in the sandcastle competition and to ensure a size or color does not run out pre-order is the way to go. Some still have tees from this event from 20 years ago, you would not want to miss the chance of buying an official 2017 sun and sea festival shirt. If you would like to pre-order go ahead and visit our site. Choose if it will be picked-up at our booth or shipped to your home (shipments will not commence until after the event).

When you hear "Cactus to the Clouds" what do you think? Relation? Uplifting? Peaceful? Well, think again. The "Cactus to The Clouds" is rated one of the top five most difficult day hikes in America. With 23 miles up winding hillside terrain reaching the top of Mt San Jacinto at 10,800 ft in elevation it's no wonder why it's also referred to as Sufferfest! Doesn't sound too appealing does it? To one of our top and most loyal customers, Janis Redmond, it sure does!
Janis needed a shirt that would not only make her look good, but feel good along her long journey. Janis gave us the opportunity to do what we do best and create a shirt for her and her friend that they could wear proudly until they concurred the 23 mile hike.
After 14 hours of hiking they reached the snow filled mountain top of Mt. San Jacinto. The ladies are pictured above wearing their custom shirts from Boca Rio. Thank you Janis for the awesome pictures and congratulations on reaching the top!

Did you know that the first national Girl Scout Cookie sale was held in 1936? That was 80 years ago! Till this day they continue to sell these delicious cookies and here at Boca Rio we love Girl Scout Cookies. We wanted to take a second to congratulate Troop 3858 for earning the highest sales profit of Girl Scouts Cookies. Troop leader Joyce Pritchett came to Boca Rio to custom order t-shirts for all her seventeen girls as they are headed to Disneyland as a reward for their cookie sales. Pictured above is one of the members of troop 3858 with her awesome custom designed t-shirt created here at Boca Rio. She is now ready to join her sisters on a magical trip to Disneyland.
Boca Rio has another customer we would like to appreciate and recognize within our community. Odin Brazilian Jiu Jitsu recently open its doors to Imperial Beach locals back in March 2016. With first degree black belt instructor, Ronnie Major, whom has always wanted to open up a studio where they seek ways to improve through continuous training. Major believes that he cannot inspire others without leading by example. Justin Hauck came to San Diego with the US Navy and wanted to get settled into the community by starting a business. Major and Hauck joined forced to make the studio possible here in Imperial Beach. Mrs. Angela Hauck has been coming into Boca Rio to get their custom shirts and tanks for their students and trainers. Their apparel gives them the opportunity to be known and noticed by the public and get their name out there in the community and its surroundings. Besides loving the print and quality of the shirts, Angela also believes in supporting local businesses making it another reason why she decided to choose Boca Rio. This family oriented studio located right on Seacoast Drive caters to adults and children. Their mission is to coach, motivate, and inspire those who have chosen martial arts as a path for transforming their lives through a positive and healthy outlet. Odin Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is now offering a 7 day free trial, go check them out at: 700 Seacoast Dr. Ste 105 Imperial Beach.
