Happyhoganon: Did Selfie took care of you when before you'd hatched?
No! Mama Selfie became my mama when she and Masaru adopted me. I was with my chocobo family when I hatched. Then the darkness came and I met Auntie Yuffie at Traverse Town. I was super tiny and my mama and papa hadn't given me a name because that's how we do it cause babies die lots in the wild. But I got strong and she used a materia called chocobo speak to talk with me and know what I said. So I learned how to live like humans. Auntie Yuffie gave me the name Boco after a hero chocobo that helped his adopted human brother save a world!
I'm growing human speed now and not chocobo speed because I helped someone who did a magic to say thanks so I would age like my family so I could have a normal life as a chocobo or with humans.
Humans have neat stuff. Like indoors and bath tubs and blankets and grocery stores.
Mama and Papa and my sister Akane all use chocobo speak regularly to talk with me and I pretend to be a stupid chocobo whenever someone else comes around.
