Bohdi Sharma was born in London, England into a family of academics. It made sense that he was to follow in their footsteps, become another member of the pack.

His parents were lovely, all things considered. Unlike the experience of some who bare the title as a child of an academic, he never felt pressured to follow a path he did not want to.

Not only did he seem heavily inclined to follow his own destiny for he never once questioned it, but the academic gifts he possessed were marveled at by teachers and peers. He loved to learn, constantly looking for even more information to nurture his mind.

Not only was he admired by his teachers, but he was well loved by his peers. He played soccer in high school, even going as far as to become the captain of the team his senior year.

Upon his graduation, he was off to the states with every intention to become a lawyer. First undergrad, then law school. It was here that he settled down in Hidehill, Tennesee.

When Bohdi falls in love, he falls deeply. That's what happened when he fell for Valencia Gomez. She wasn't just perfect in his eyes, but she was perfect for him.

When he met her, he was a scared law student who was so riddled with uncertainty -- that he believed he could never give her what she deserved. A life. And yet, he was so blinded by love that he fell headfirst. Even so far as to getting down on one knee.

Bohdi was a good student, especially thriving in law school. He had a beautiful fiancée, a roof above his head and something he was passionate about. However, he would soon go on to sabatoge himself, just as he had always had a tendency to do.

Part of him knew what he was getting into, knowing that the woman he loved had a career in porn. However, his own mind had prayed on his downfall. His insecurities, many that came from being engaged so young manifested into believing that he would never be enough for her, that the other men were somehow better than him. And so, he left. She became a chapter closed, and it was all his fault.

Finishing law school became harder. His body felt heavy, but he soon became conditioned when it came to turning everything off. Soon, things didn't become so heavy anymore.

He had never been the kind of person who needed much, valuing efficiency over luxury. And so, he moved into a small place in Hide Square and gradually made it all his own.

He's been at Atwood Legal since graduation, something that causes people to wonder if he's under the family's thumb. Even so, having consistency in his life continues to keep him grounded.

To his friends, Bohdi is very happy and bubbly. However, deep down there is more going on than actually meets the eye. He doesn't always reveal these emotions out of fear of burdening the people that he cares for.

Bohdi has started to wonder if being a defense attorney is worth it for him anymore, especially knowing that if Carter hadn't pled guilty, it could very well have been him fighting to get him off.

Keeps a lot of journals, each with distinctly neat handwriting.

Maintaining control in his life at times is more important than it should be. Sometimes, it's too a point that he's not even aware of just how much it matters to him.

He is unaware of what happened with Valencia after he left. Like, completely. She's only recently reentered his life, as he's been more or less avoiding her as she is a manifestation of his guilt.

it was an odd way to think about it, but bohdi had always wondered if the sun and the moon died every night in turn for each other. they would return to living, produce a light that shone over the world before soon leaving once more so that the other could take their turn. some might have jeered and told him bohdi, you're overthinking it. as he always did. even still, he would rather cling to such a notion than go about his life living in an endless pattern of normalcy and lies.

not every case was that way. some had a genuine need for protection from the legal system that sought to take their feet out from underneath them and drag them asunder. however, in hidehill they seemed to be the exception to the rule. despite the career that atwood legal had given him, a bleary-eyed student of the craft fresh from the confines of law school, he knew he couldn't be there anymore -- but perhaps he'd find some solace as their opponent. a prosecutor, who put the likes of carter thompson and izaiah wheatley behind bars in the deepest depths of the prison system for the rest of their natural lives.

meeting elena bradshaw had actually given him the chance to believe that he could be something other than the man he had been conditioned to be. that he could actually make decisions for himself, chase after the life that had always aspired to. a future that had once been dim now shone just as bright as the sunshine, a prospect that could only be blinded by his devotion to her.

this particular evening had been a quiet one, as many had been since sasha's passing. he had never known sasha very well, but the way elena spoke of her was enough to bring a certain amount of sadness. he never forced her to speak more than she was ready for -- even then, he wasn't sure if she ever would be.

he doesn't know that the very papers he once thought might kill him would truly be his bitter end. reading glasses are perched on the tip of his nose as he scans the file he has been so engrossed in -- even if his eyes fight to close. but the bleariness soon dissipates as there is a sudden knock at the door. it seems odd that someone would make themselves present in elena's home at this time of night, unless it was someone in need of help. it seemed like everyone needs help these days, to lean on each other after the amount of loss that has been ripping the town to pieces.

oh, how wrong could bohdi have possibly been.

❝ elena? ❞ he calls out to every crevice of the apartment, taken aback by the lack of response. he moves slowly towards the bedroom door, shutting his computer as his eyes scan the hallway that couldn't have felt longer. he hopes that he is met with a positive scene, with the sight of a familiar face, someone he cared for. austin. dakota. remy. charlie. andi, unexpectedly back when he knew he had to tell her to keep running. to be happy with nicola. even emmeline, even if their relationship wasn't as close. as the weeks past by, he had found himself genuinely enjoying her company.

when he finally reaches the main room, his stomach drops in horror at what he sees. the woman he loves, tied to a chair with her eyes completely shut and a piece of fabric tied over her mouth. the shadow. they had finally come for her. he should have known, with elena's notoriety. it's within seconds that he's pushed backwards into the kitchen -- where his body hits the ground and all he can see is a faceless figure overhead.

the first thing he can think of is elena. he didn't know if she was still breathing, but he was going to fight for her. with everything he has, with everything he is. the second thing he thinks of is gain evidence. bite, scratch... if he can get his opponents dna in his teeth, in his fingers, this would bring them one step closer to getting them justice.

the first stab to the gut causes him to yelp in pain, but he continues to go with the punches. he lands as many as he can, but then comes another, and another, until his body becomes all too used to the feeling. the numbness that washes over his entire body becomes warm, comforting, calling for him to let go. but he can't. she's in the other room, and he can't help but wonder if he still has time to get to her. he'll grasp at whatever second he can...

until he can't.

bohdi sharma's body gives out, right there on elena's kitchen floor -- where he would never know if she made it out. she had to.

for he was the sun, who would die over and over again just to let her breathe.

"you have me, bohdi..." elena pulls away slightly so she could stare deeply into his eyes, making sure that he knows that this isn't going away anytime soon, or ever. that elena is going to say by his side through it all. their relationship was something she hasn't really defined herself yet, but she knew that this is where she's supposed to be, that after all this time of being so lost that she really didn't have that much of direction in her life, that after she'd left the only thing she knew how to do, there was not path for her to go to. but all this time, she had been sharing a path with someone whom she had just referred to as neighbor, a word that didn't carry much meaning, but, for them, it was a little term of endearment over the years of their little banter in the mornings at the hallways, the little smiles and the nods, one inviting the other for whatever reason just to have company...

elena guesses she should really thank that wine for the courage.

"i need you, bohdi..." elena breathes out with not a trace of hesitation as she tilted her head to the side, grabbing and tugging on a handful of his hair as his lips find her neck, a weak spot bohdi has immediately learned from the very first time. elena's legs then were now wrapped around the other, not really wanting any kind of space between their bodies as every kiss he leaves on her skin elicits a moan out of the former singer, subtly rolling her hips against his. "i need you to touch me, everywhere..." her body then shudders under his as she utters those words. elena then tugs on bohdi's hair once more, making him look up at her before she continues to speak. "take me the way you've always wanted to take me."

𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓 for a time that wanting her would be enough. perhaps he believed that he would be offered nothing more than a simple cordial hello, a simple extension of fingers as she brushed by him. but now, his own fingers traced the very constellations that blemishes she had been born with built across her skin -- ones that he had become intimately familiar with as the days pass by. i need you. it's all that she needs to say -- the way her name falls over his lips is just the cherry on top. he doesn't expect her to continue and yet, he's blessed with such sinful words creating such glorious music in his ears. her kiss burns in the most exciting way possible, only pulling away to make quick work of the other two buttons keeping his shirt together. ❝ you don't have to ask me twice, elena.. ❞ he breaths, unable to keep himself from closing the space between the two of them as his hands caress the skin underneath her shirt. he needs it gone -- desperately so. perhaps more so than he's needed anything else, food, water.. he never thought he could crave someone more than any kind of basic human need. again, a testamate to the sheer power she had over him. ❝ lets get these clothes off.. i want to see you. i want to see just how you look, only for me. ❞

𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐋𝐄 𝐃𝐀𝐘, 𝐁𝐎𝐇𝐃𝐈 can feel himself slipping. it's obvious in his eyes that he hasn't been sleeping, both because he simply can't and that he finds himself watching the door with the hope that even for a moment, elena can sleep in peace. while he didn't know sasha very well, she was someone to elena -- and that didn't come without some amount of grieving on his end. mainly because she had done so much for someone he loved, cared so deeply for. and that meant everything. he had held her for as long as he could, hell, he would for even longer if the universe would allow him to. however, he needed to make money to support the takeout bills that had been coming to their essentially joint apartment at this point. calling dakota had been the right decision, mainly because it felt good to check in on someone he cared about.

❝ dakota.. ❞ he sighs after a moment, grasping for his cup of coffee as if it were life support. ❝ have you spoken to your father lately ? it feels like i haven't seen him in days, and i don't think we've gone a day without hearing his ringtone for hours straight. ❞

Elena: i really don't know what did to deserve you Elena: i just...i need to be away from everything right now, bohdi, everything doesn't feel real bohdi: you were exactly as you are, elena. that's what you did. bohdi: hey, of course. i'll order some stuff, and we can do whatever feels right. okay? bohdi: i love you [deleted before being sent] bohdi: so what if i get a speeding ticket. i'm cutting my time in half.

as bohdi had been busy, given his line of work, elena took this time to sort a few things out in her life, mostly the friendship that she's left off with zehra a few years ago, and that conversation with austin, after she has chosen to act like, besides the girls, her former manager didn't exist in her life at all. she also had to meet her sponsor and frequent her meetings more after she had to witness alex relapse, and that she almost did the same. that was something she knew she needs to face later on, talk to one her best friends in town. she couldn't do it right now, as she needed more time from it all, perhaps in the safety of bohdi's arms. it was the kind of comfort she never knew she needed, he is the person she never knew she needed.

"you don't have to apologize at all, baby." she knew how demanding his job could be, especially right now, while some people feel at peace now ever since the shadow were either in jail or dead, but there was still legalities to sort out. she could only imagine how bohdi was able to deal with all of these. "it stays out there. but you know...if you need to let things out, i'm here, bohdi...i'm here for you." and she meant it, gently pulling away to look into his eyes, making sure he knew it. "i've missed you too..." she lets out a deep sigh, both hands resting on his chest for a moment, before they start exploring his body. "come here..." she slowly draws him close, making him join her in bed. "just...focus on me, okay?"

𝐈𝐓 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 felt like ages since bohdi had experienced something so healthy -- a connection that reminded him of the beauty in the world around him, even with the war that raged outside. despite the chaos they had been experiencing, he made sure to cherish every moment he had with elena, for the woman had an unspoken talent of keeping him sane. not that he would ever want to place such a responsibility on the woman's shoulders -- which is why he kept the words to himself, but he meant every single one of them. hearing her call him baby could have caused his heart to give out right then and there, but he stays strong as he takes in every feature that he has come to know so well. ❝ i know, i know.. if something comes up, of course i will. but right now.. ❞ he responds, an arm coiling around her waist. he used to find himself wondering what he did to deserve her, moments like these. her time, her affections. and yet, as he has them -- all he can hear or think about are how beautiful her voice sounds in his ears, and how desperately he needs her, as if he's a desperate traveler who needs to be led to water. ❝ i just need you. ❞

she doesn't have to ask him twice to focus on her, because it's all he wants to do. and so, he simply nods with a broken breath as he takes her in his arms once more and closes the space between them. he's slowly but surely found himself becoming more familiar with her body in manners that he never thought he ever would -- this night being no different. lips slowly trace a familiar pattern within the crook of her neck. ❝ what do you need, elena ? ❞ he hums, asking the question in a manner that is both genuine and somewhat coy. the otherwise buttoned up bohdi could not have been more undone, shirt unbuttoned except for two clasps clinging to life as it is. lips soon trail across the skin near her collarbone before meeting her gaze once more. ❝ tell me. ❞ he takes advantage of the small space between them to tease, wondering if maybe, just maybe, he would be leaving some kind of expectation for more.

𝐈𝐓 𝐇𝐀𝐒 𝐅𝐄𝐋𝐓 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄 a century since bohdi had last truly rested, and it seems like that ability to let go will not be gifted to him -- as long as evil remained alive. but then again, he wasn't on the side that was burying it beneath the ground. he was paid to convince a jury of people, a jury of his peers that his client wasn't guilty. he had known it for a long time that he was in the wrong buisness, but it hadn't been solidified just how desperately he needed to do so until now. someone else, someone in his position, had carter and izaiah on their payroll or would, should they request it. if you can not afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you. it was a cruel reality, which was why he at long last began moving in the direction of the exit. trying to find a way out of his time at atwood legal.

he has always found solace in the nights he spends with elena -- but it's clear in the way that he takes pause to admire her and the way the dark highlights every inch of her face. fuck, bohdi may have made a point out of being strong, the strength coming from being the best in every area, but elena bradshaw had an unspoken talent to make embrace being completely and utterly weak in the knees. ❝ i'm sorry i was so late, love. ❞ he hums, sealing the apology with a gentle kiss to her cheek. it says more than he anticipates, but he knows he can't hide from her. ❝ ever since.. ❞ everything at la vela. harrison's death. his best friend revealing to him she had more knots untied than he had originally thought. ❝ but that shit -- it stays out there.. okay ? ❞ his voice is tired, but authenticity hangs on every syllable. ❝ i've missed you. ❞

You'd think with a killer confirmed and behind bars, one for the second time — gotta love when your ex-boyfriend goes on a double murder spree, but Emery wasn't feeling any better. There was a sense of déjà vu looming over her as she took a sip from the chocolate milkshake sitting in front of her, she once thought all of this was behind her once before and then it all started again. The blonde was lost in her thoughts, so much so that she didn't pay any attention to the pair of footsteps approaching her table. "What?" She questioned, looking around at the crowded restaurant before meeting their eyes. "Sorry — yeah, sit down. Don't mind me, I've just been thinking...way too much lately."

𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍 𝐈𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 a sense of calm settling over hidehill -- certainly not over body. the offices of atwood legal were anything but quiet, leaving bohdi finding little peace during the day, but even less so at night. not due to the offices, not all the time -- but mainly due to the screaming in his own mind. the only time his mind was silent was on the nights he found himself laying at elena's side. however, he made an intention of never bringing the stress he carried back home to her. perhaps this is why he often found himself wandering in the direction of late night slice for a quick piece of pizza, giving him the time to remind himself how to breathe. then, he could trudge on home to their apartment complex. he notices emery from afar, mind anywhere but in the humble resturant. ❝ i didn't mean to startle you, emery. ❞ he says with an understanding smile. it makes sense, wanting to get away from this town that was more damned than anyone could possibly imagine. ❝ everything alright ? you appeared.. not in this universe, as some might say. ❞

"you underestimate yourself a little too much, bohdi." elena whispers, now running her fingers through the man's hair as she looks up at him in awe. it wasn't that elena hasn't really doesn't believe she'll have bohdi this way, but, the thought of it is already defeated by the friendship they've had for the past three years ever since they've become neighbors. "and who knew you could be such a romantic, hmm?" she couldn't help but tease him, tugging on his locks lightly before leaning close to give his lips a few soft, little pecks in attempt to tease him to go for more. it had been a tension brewing between the two of them for as long as she could remember, but had ignored it solely for the fact that for some time now, elena had always questioned her worthiness to find love, to have it, claim it as hers, and when it has presented itself in front of her, perhaps not just in the form of this man but also crue, she had tried to turn to down, until that one conversation with alex that may have flicked the switch in her head.

"i don't know shit about love, man. but there's no classification of people deserving such things and who don't."

"would you look in the mirror and tell yourself that?"

"touché, alex."

"i'm glad i'm entertain you so well, mr. sharma." she says teasingly, before closing the distance between them for a deeper kiss this time, the former singer subtly moving them against the bar until her back gently hits the counter, with bohdi still drawn close to her. "if leaving the party this early wasn't so rude...i would've asked you to take me home already the second we've got here, bohdi."

𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐒 𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐇𝐀𝐃 some merit to them. although he often projected an air of confidence, of intelligence, at times even he knew it was blindingly self righteous. maybe because if he believed it enough, he would be a man worthy of such emotion, such validation, worthy of her. he hadn't believed it before -- but in her arms he wondered if it was possible for him to do anything else. a hand came to rest along the small of her back as his fingers tangled with her own with the other. no shadow could interrupt this moment -- could ruin it, they'd have to get part him first. it had been years since he moved into his place, become complacent in his own ways as he made the trek from home to work, before coming back again. the cycle would then repeat all over again, until he saw elena in the stairwell for the very first time. ❝ i've always been a romantic. my greatest little secret. ❞ he teases, thumb running along her cheek as he keeps her gaze. ❝ it seems you bring that out of me, love. ❞

he couldn't help but notice several people standing behind the woman, many whom he knew, but who didn't know just where things were going with his neighbor. the image of staying home for the entire evening with her, tangled in their sheets without a single individual circling around them to bother them. ❝ i wouldn't want it to be anyone else. ❞ he speaks rather honestly, not just because of his affections, but because he genuinely believes that he's never met anyone like her before. her kindness, her outlook on the world, confidence that he could only dream of. ❝ how about when you're ready.. ❞ he pauses, nose grazing against hers for a moment before their lips connect once more. the pressure of his back against the counter causes a shiver to run along the lower half of his spine. ❝ we'll stumble our way back home.. and then we can spend the next day all for ourselves. how does that sound ? ❞ to him, it sounded like heaven.

Andi's head was spinning as she pushed through the crowds she was thankful seemed to be leaving in troves. It could have been so much worse. That's what she kept telling herself. He got in. Carter got into La Vela, unseen, unnoticed, and got into her office without so much as breaking the lock. How the fuck did he get that far and nobody stopped him? Luckily, the only person who died had been another shadow - if anything that kind of reputation was good for business, not bad for it. But still... It could have been so much worse.

She spots her friend as soon as she takes a gulp of fresh air - god that feels good, the wind blowing through her hair. "Hey, thanks," Andi sighs as she takes the cigarette and lights it, shoving the Zippo back into her leather jacket pocket as she took a long, necessary drag. "You know I was thinkin' of quittin' these things, but not after tonight," she commented in a dull tone, glancing at the patrons, still slightly nervous that something else was going to happen.

At his question, she sighed again. "Both," she said quickly after he finished. "But, perhaps first my lawyer... What are the chances of this coming back to fuck me up even more, Boh?" Andi asked, looking at him with worried eyes. "Do I need to get my fuckin' papers in a straight line?" She added, smoking softly falling out the corner of her mouth and floating away with the breeze. "I'm already going to review the footage-- fire whichever idiots he walked past and they didn't notice... But other than that... Do I need to do anything else?"

𝐁𝐎𝐇𝐃𝐈 𝐊𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒 certainly didn't look good. not for the club. while bohdi may have once had sympathy for the person who died, harrison jones was the scum of the earth. he had a hand in ruining countless lives, hurting those who didn't deserve it. and so, his mind was on protecting his dearest friend. in a way -- carter could have easily blended into the array of drunken bodies, each looking to escape the very thing that lurked in their midst. ❝ it's understandable. ❞ he sighed, eyes turning to the ground -- face contorted deep in thought. ❝ andi, the club has cameras, right ? ❞ he asked, eyes scanning the perimeter. ❝ i think you are well protected -- you need documented proof of the shadow's path. following that, i would examine that team of yours on camera. stuff like this happens, but don't go throwing accusations. you have good people. ❞

at the mention of the papers, he raised an eyebrow. what was out of line ? and depending on how much there was to put into place, it would give him a sense of how many things he needed to explain. ❝ as for the papers.. how much work do you have for me ? like.. do you know what's out of order ? ❞ lips purse as he begins to walk back in the direction of the club, spotting a couple security cameras along the outskirts. ❝ tell me what we're in for here. and then i can think of a plan to get you out of it. because the cops are going to be coming back to scope out every inch of this place, if they know what's good for them. ❞
