I sometimes find myself sad, troubled and worried and then I would realize that these are also the same instances wherein I anchor my life on myself - my own judgment, decisions and solutions. I was so focused on relying on myself that I forget that the perfect answers only come from God. I get so drained and tired because my strength was coming from this physical body whereas I could've tapped into my limitless God for all that I need only if I offer everything for His glory. It really is so easy to get caught up with what the eyes can see. We get so distracted and deceived easily into thinking that on our own, we can. The truth is, without Him, we can't. Only when our hope is anchored on Him and not unto ourselves that we truly find undisturbed peace and unshakeable joy. Thank you Jesus that I can always come back to your glory, holiness and love and that we can rely on you 100%. Thank you for making me realize that I am nothing without you. #Psalm42v11

Joy and true peace can only be found when we obey the LORD's commands and will in our life. If we rely on our own strengths, we will never achieve true and lasting peace because our inadequacies as humans will always fail us. But God is perfect, His will is perfect and anchored in His love and holiness thus whatever He does is flawless and we can rest in that fact. We should stop running and relying on what our incapable hands can do and start anchoring our peace on the one and only perfect God. #Psalms119v143

We do not let our words out without thought. We contemplate, get enough and correct information before airing our thoughts. We do not consider our opinions better than that of others. We consider the possibility that we could be wrong in our own judgment and perception. SLOW TO ANGER. We control our emotions and not allow it to rule over our actions. We must recognize that our heart is deceitful, selfish most of the time therefore we cannot always put our trust into it. All of these are challenging, impossible I may say. But when we have Christ in our lives and we have seen His example and how He demonstrated love to it's perfection, we will continuously strive to be like Him. So even if it's impossible, we will, slowly, day by day, transform to His likeness and be able to truly love. #James1v19

We keep on running after things that we think will satisfy us --- relationships, money, career, popularity, etc., only to find ourselves dissatisfied and lacking in the end. And these pursuits are just tiring, disappointing, leaving us wanting more but still incomplete. It's because Jesus is the only one that satisfies and completes us. That void in our hearts which this world cannot fulfill can only be filled by Christ. He is the living water and with Him, we will never thirst again. Nope, "learning to love yourself" isn't the greatest love of all. It's the LORD's love that is the greatest, purest love one can ever experience. We must be desperate to have Him in our life. Discipline is always painful, we resent it. Most of the time, we do not see its value; we do not see the reality that discipline is actually a manifestation of love. This is because our view of love is that of how the world defines it. But truly loving someone means wanting nothing but the best for that person and discipline at times is the way to get there. Whenever you feel that the LORD is disciplining you, just remember that it's HIS way of showing you love so you can be the best version of yourself.
