What inspires stop motion/ claymation makers?

I get so tired doing claymation and stop motion. Good stop motion always is interesting and turns out great but it is so time consuming.  I feel what the advances in animation and technology that claymation is a dying breed. The process is just too tedious. Let me know your thoughts.
