Nothing, and I mean nothing, speaks more to my dominant side than knowing someone I care about is having a rough time. I want to bundle them up, hold them, squeeze them, and soothe away their pain. I hate when others hurt and it breaks my heart if I can’t help in some way. Trust in those around you, darlin’. We want to help.

This is very true. My main learning curve is around knowing when not to help; when not to let looking after others harm my own mental health.

If you are my friend, but more especially if you are my partner, I will move mountains to try to make your life better. I just need to look after myself too.
