and I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has said such nice things about the season, and I'm sorry to everyone who had emotions they weren't expecting, and I'm impressed that so many of you have theories and don't plan to answer, validate or really even comment on any of them, but mostly I'm just sorry because I probably won't read whatever you've sent, not because I don't want to but because if I was doing nothing but reading Tumblr asks as a full time job I still wouldn't catch up with the thousands of asks coming in.

The “Watch the teeth” panel is from Marvel Comics Presents #5 from 2019. Basically the premise is Eddie is bored or sad or both and Venom can’t take it because his species basically eats emotions to live. Eddie asks what Venom wants to do about it and

“Eddie likes beautiful horrors, terror and desire intertwined. Eddie likes us.”

To Dudebros clutching onto the Straight-Goggles, this looks like a sick nightmare, with Eddie being a tormented lost soul used as a monster’s plaything and meal-ticket. They see this as Venom “overriding” and perverting Eddie’s “straight guy” mind until all that exists is Venom and Venom’s twisted will over him.

To people with correct opinions, this is a wet dream orgy. Yes, Venom has a very basic reason for doing this, (it is literally fucking to survive Eddie’s bout of depression) but the thing is Eddie is 100% into it. Everything shown is in Eddie’s head. He WANTS a Venom orgy.

This backs up my point in the other post that Symbiote sex can be both ambiguous and abstract but very VERY clear what is happening. Eddie Brock is canonically sexually aroused by Venom. Eddie wants teeth and tongue and those iconic white streak-like eyes. And he wants a LOT of it. And Venom eagerly obliges.
