Blog Introduction.

Marhaba, Salut, Hello.

My blog is mostly centered around the Maasverse.

I don't claim to know what it's like or what it takes to write a successful series, let alone multiple, and I never will.

These are my opinions, mostly based on the ACOTAR series, soon enough TOG (a much needed reread before I can give my solid opinion) and CC (whenever I get to actually reading it.)

Heavily centered tags: Anti Rhysand, Anti Feyre, Anti Feysand, Anti IC, Anti Nessian, Anti Cassian, Anti Amren, Anti Mor.

Pro Lucien, Pro Eris, Pro Tamlin, Pro Nesta, Pro Gwyn, Pro Emerie, Pro Tarquin, Pro Helion, Pro Thesan.

Neutral: Azriel, Elain, Vassa, Jurian, Kallias, Viviane, literally anyone else left.

▪︎Anti Rhysand: I can't stand the guy. Plain and simple.

▪︎Anti Feyre: I liked her in the first book, even a few chapters into AF, where that Feyre went, I'll never know.

▪︎Anti Feysand: The most obnoxious rulers in all of Prythian. It would've been fine if they had anything to back it up with, but they don't.

▪︎Anti IC: This one is obvious. They're more like an inbred cult than a found family.

▪︎Anti Nessian: I deluded myself that the bond is Made, and I stand by that.

▪︎Anti Cassian: He's the worst mate ever written by SJM, and that's saying something since she wrote Rhysand.

▪︎Anti Amren: I could tolerate her in AF, but she's completely unnecessary after WAR.

▪︎Anti Mor: Could've been a great character, failed her miserably in whatever it is she is now.

▪︎Pro Lucien: Why wouldn't I be? Easily the best written character in the series.

▪︎Pro Eris: Everything is not as it seems. Maybe I'll eat my words later on, maybe I won't. We'll see.

▪︎Pro Tamlin: This is a tricky one. I don't condone/encourage/find what he did okay pre-petty Feyre revenge. However, he's more than made up and paid for it.

▪︎Pro Nesta: I also don't condone her actions in the first few chapters of TAR, some of SF, but again, she's more than made up for it.

▪︎Pro Gwyn, Emerie, Tarquin, Helion, Thesan: Obvious reasons.

▪︎Azriel: He's there, I guess. I'm disappointed with the way he was written, but yk. Waiting for his book to make up my mind.

▪︎Elain: She's also there. Idk. From what I did see of her in the books, she's alright. Hated her for not standing up for Nesta, but I'm over it.

▪︎Kallias and Viviane: I loved their story, at least the bits that we saw. However, I'll forever judge them for not hounding Rhysand about the 'other' Daemati's name. I'll keep believing he did it until anon Daemati's head is brought and shown.

▪︎Vassa, Jurian: Gave Lucien a place in the band of Exiles. Nothing more needs to be said.

I'm team Elucien all the way.

Iffy about if Gwynriel will happen, but I would love to see them together.

If these are not your things, it's totally your choice. Feel free to leave, or if you want to debate, I'm all for it as long as neither if us try to convince the other of something and try to shove it down the other's throat.

Random question but are you a fan of rina kent books?

Dear god no.

I've read a lot of books, though, mainly out of masochism.

I wanted to see what the hype was all about, and needless to say, I was horrified through all of the Royal Elites series.

I skipped a lot of books in between and attempted the legacy of gods, could only tolerate Niko and Bran, but that's because I'm a sucker for MM.

I get that they're Dark Romance, and I usually tolerate that trope, but not when Aiden quite literally SAs, harasses and stalk Elsa into loving him. Xander bullies Kim into suicide because of something that he heard when he was a kid, then ACTS THE VICTIM and has her forgiving him, I don't even remember Teal and Ronan's story and whatever that was with Cole and Silver... just no.

Kayden's wife was raped and then he SAs Gareth...

God knows what'll happen with Yulian and Vaughn.

I think Rina just genuinely hates or has a twisted look on women, and now that she's seen how well God of Fury was received, she's focusing on MM.

How I'll be watching the fandom fighting and tearing each other apart tomorrow if SJM decides to reveal book 6 and the MCs, knowing I'll never buy it and probably never read it, checking up on my babies via my friend.

Happy International Women’s Day to Nesta Archeron!

So many people can relate to Nesta, specially to being traumatized or depressed in a way that is not pretty or quiet. We are allowed to be angry. We are allowed to snap back when provoked. We are allowed to ask for space and to put boundaries between us and those that do not make us feel safe or happy. We are allowed to say no and stand our ground.

We are allowed to be difficult, to be messy, to be works in progress. Being a woman is not just being gentle and kind—sometimes it is clawing our way to survival, fighting our way back from the darkness, and demanding more for ourselves even when the world tells us we do not deserve it or are not owed it.

Women are not required to be palatable or amenable to be worthy of love, respect, or happiness. We do not exist to be convenient. We do not have to shrink ourselves to make others comfortable. We do not have to change ourselves to make a man love us. Our rage, our grief, our sadness, no matter how they may exhibit themselves—they are all valid.

Nesta Archeron has shown us that a woman can be messy, spiteful, angry, stubborn, and steadfast in her beliefs yet still be loved. She is loved by her fellow Valkyries, who listened to all the things she hates about herself and in turn shared the parts of themselves they hide from others. They did not shame her or hate her, they loved her all the same. And she is loved by us—even if she is not real and cannot feel it—there are thousands of us around the world who see her, flaws and all, and love her exactly as she is. She may not be real, but her struggles, her flaws, and her personality is. There are women out there going through very similar things—I know I have in the past—and to read about a woman who did not back down, who did not roll over and take it, is so important and healing in itself.

Happy International Women’s Day to Nesta and everyone else out there. You are worthy. You are strong. You are loved.

Okay, but let's just imagine for a second that Nyx's price to coming back alive was all of his illyrian/High Lord's heir powers and all he's left with is the basics of a High Fae?

I mean, it's canon that everyone who comes back alive gives up something, and yet Nesta was the only one who gave up most of her powers to bring back Nyx and his parents...

I know SJM will never possibly take away anything from her favorite characters, but damn it, it would be a good ass arc for Nyx?

I saw a comment on Reddit about a TikTok theory that Rhysand tied his life to Feyre to protect himself from powerful people who could kill him, aka Nesta, Tamlin, maybe even Lucien (when and if he becomes HL) and you know what?

His bitchass absolutely would hide behind his 20-something-year old mate.

You know what, anon, now that you said it...

Okay, it's going to sound crazy but speaking canon, Feyre was not interacting with anyone outside of the IC, her sisters, and the healer, right? It's been a while since I've read SF but pls correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, she interacted with Helion (obviously wouldn't hurt her) when she still wasn't showing, and maybe a couple of guards, but that's about it.

And considering that the IC is loyal to Rhys, they would never harm his mate. Her sisters obviously wouldn't harm her, but Rhysand sees Elain as Elain yet sees Nesta as a threat in general.

Maybe in his twisted mind, he saw her as a threat to Feyre? Idk I've never thought about it before now, but why else was the shield there after they told everyone?

The only time it makes sense is in CoN in that fetish vomit inducing whatever-the-hell-you-wanna-call-it, but that's it.

That said, I've stopped trying to understand most shit ACOTAR related for fear I will lose my remaining brain cells.

The relief I felt when I saw that Eris was better than ever and back to his usual self after Thing 1 and Thing 2 stabbed him in the AC should be studied because that is not normal over a fictional character.
