Lets start this review out by saying I'm totally bias to this book...I've worked in the food service industry for the last 3 years and I'm still going. It's a good book even for people who don't work in the industry to though so don't get picky on me. More so it was aimed at people who don't to show them the things people in the industry go through. Your not gonna like everything you read. He does some things you should hope your local waters don't do to you but he also does a lot of good and better then some I've experienced myself. With all the bad he did there was an equally unreasonable guest that most people agree probably deserved it. If you don't let's just hope you treat waitstaff like human beings and not slaves. Cause slavery was outlawed a long time ago my friends. Read it. If it doesn't show you the other perspective at least it was a little funny. Cause he's pretty humorous. Also, lets not forget, tip your servers or stay home. (; haha.

So here I am sitting at work when I realize a while back I posted this and I've finally read the book!

The book is about an anti social boy who is starting high school. I'm not even sure how I would begin to explain that he's a little more then anti social. Triggered by a few life changing events from when he was younger he kinda of becomes mental.

The whole book is narrated by his thoughts which is definitely an interesting perspective. He has breakthroughs and breakdowns until finally in the end the beginning of it all is revealed.

Everyone has a struggle in this book just as in real life and thats what made the book so touching. The story touches on metal illness, drugs, alcohol, being gay, abuse, abortion, relationships, friendships and family all in a more radical way then the normal read. Which is awesome in my opinion. I'm sick of the stock story where people skirt around real life issues as if they're nonexistent.

It's a good read, a weird book but it makes you think. And not the kind of thinking like your trying to figure out the story but the kind that actually makes you think about the way you think itself.

Don't pass this one up.

One of those books that you have to read and read and read until your so tired that you can't anymore but you keep going cause you just need to know what is going to happen to the poor, little Nigerian girl. The was not one part of the story that Chris Cleaver failed me by being obvious. Things happened that I didn't expect and I could feel the characters building and changing as I read. Deep and emotional read.
